The beach is nice with plenty of spots to seat on. Friendly people willing to serve and clean water all around with small waves good for kids. If you are on a family trip this is a great place to spend the day with all services at hand.

One day we rented a smart car and rode all over the island stopping at multiple beaches. Perissa had a lot of shopping and places to eat along the beach. It was summer time so it was pretty crowded but not crazy. The sand on the island in general is not the typical soft sand one thinks. It's rocky and... More

Unfortunately (or fortunately?), my country is surrounded with white-sand, beautiful beaches that I've come accustomed to. So to see Perissa's black, coarse sand beach kind of disappointed me. Although, I should have expected it already seeing the reviews.

The beach is clean, lovely, but the black volvanic sand is so so hot!! You will burn our feet if not wearing sandals so make sure you pack some! The water is very cold, but coupled with the beautiful weather, you will be comfortable in no time. A must visit! Warning: bars normally charge for the loungers and with sand... More

Perissa is the next beach of Kamari, surrounded by a dramatic landscape, black sand and clear sea!!! Swimming is safe there even for kids. We visited it 2 days when in Santorini and it is one of my favorite beach of the island, together with Vlyhada. Don't miss Perissa, it's really a unique place in Greece!!!

Wife and I had a car, drove around to different beaches, the touristy ones were incredibly packed and the black sand was very hot. Very cool though. We're not big beach types, but it was neat to see the different sands. There are a few on the island I believe though.

The black sand is definitely special, while the gorgeous clear water was excellent. A pity we visited during winter, as the winds were strong and waves huge, not suitable for swimming

Nice long black beach a few steps of our hotel. Clear blue waters and many restaurants and beach bars. Chill out atmosphere.
