Nice beach

Enjoyed an afternoon here relaxing on the beach and having lunch. There was also very good shopping right on the beach with excellent prices. No fee to park.

the beach in Perissa is okay, black sandy volcanic beach ,tho much better than Kamari beach which is a large shingley beach that you need sea shoes to walk on , both beaches have nice tavernas with free sunbeds as long as you buy a drink or a food.

Whilst the majority of the beach is used by the bars and restaurants, who all offer free waiter services providing you buy a drink, the further away for the rock you go, the more free space there is. Although when large drfat beers are only E3.50 then you might as well pick a nice bar/restairant and use the facilities!!

Large beach - free sun beds lovely restaurants - very little touting. Until crowded. Long stretch of many beaches with lovely backdrop of mountain. Also nice in evening. "............".........................

It is easier and quiet to seat in a place far from the umbrellas if you want to relax and enjoy only the sun and the swimming.

The beech is black vulcanic sand/pebble but the hotels make the most of there section of the beech keeping it clean and well furnished.

Great diversity on this beach with chairs, water sports, the works and tons of food options! We spent quite a lot of time here playing in the waves on a particularly windy day. We stayed in Perissa so we could have access to the beaches 24/7. Also quite an amazing sunrise!

We rented a couple of motorcycles and a 4 wheeler in Fira and drove down to Perissa Beach. and just for the price of a few drinks, we were able to secure some beach chairs and go snorkeling. It wasn't amazing amazing like a bright coral reef, but the water was crystal clear and the variations in the seas topography... More

A lovely long beach consisting of black lave sand which retains the heat so be careful when stepping of the boards onto the sand in bare feet. Most have sunbeds that are free if you buy a drink from the taverna's that supply these beds. Most have reeded umbrella's that shade the sun if required. Off the beach is a... More

Black, volcanic sand. Lots of nice places to eat, drink, hang out at. Watersports and a blue flag. Can also take the ferry to Kamari which is a lovely boat trip.
