We did the epic Lost World 7 hour trip and were both extremely pleased. Not only were the guides excellent at making us feel comfortable and safe but they also managed to create good vibes! This trip IS definitely worth the money.

What a way to end our long trip! Fantastic tour I took part in with my friend on the last day of our 12-week journey around the world- couldn't think of a better way to end the trip. The abseil, the cave and the glow worms were absolutely stunning. Our guides were excellent as well- very personable and entertaining (however... More

I did the 7 hour lost world trip in January! Was awesome, the guides were very friendly and knew everything about the caves and the local history! Everything about the trip was well organized including the lunch, showers, wetsuits,BBQ dinner and bus rides to and from the cave. If you have a spare day and you are near waitomo this... More

I always wanted to do this and finally had the chance. It was a lot harder then I thought it would be but AWESOME! Our two guides Iain and Loz really looked after us, the view is amazing! The abseil was not as scary as I thought it would be and the view is spectacular. It had been raining a... More

I did the Lost World 7 Hr Epic excursion with my wife and it exceeded my expectations from start to finish. Summary: personalized trip (3 people and 2 guides) with guides that were funny, knowledgeable, and easy-going. The 100 meter rappelling/abseiling and actual cave/river navigation were insanely fun; I felt like a true explorer! The dinner at the end was... More

Make time for the 7 hour adventure. The 4 hour is "dry." The "wet" is a MUST! You are provided a thick wetsuit which keeps out the cold. My daughter and I went on May 28. Just perfect. The 100 m abseil is spectacular. The water cavern portion is simply indescribable. The waterfalls, the currents, and the glow worm experience... More

I don't have the words to describe how much I loved this!!! Our tour guides were awesome- very patient, funny, and helpful- and the experience itself was incredibly unique. I had visited several other famous caves (like Carlsbad Caverns) and thought I wasn't a cave person...until this! This is NOT anything like other cave experiences you may have had. It's... More

My husband and I did the 7 hour epic tour on our honeymoon to New Zealand in November. We were both SO excited for this tour, and boy did it deliver. The tour features a short walk through the forest then a 100M+ abseil (repel) down into the caves. You then have lunch at the bottom, then hike, swim, climb,... More

Descend into the bowels of the earth with the Epic Lost World 7 hour tour. Did the 10:30AM tour. There were 9 people in the group plus 2 guides, Garret and Chris. Everyone was moderately fit (minimum age 15, able to run a mile in 10 min, had no acrophobia or claustrophobia). Arrived 10AM to fill out paperwork. Van left... More

We came back after 3 years to do this one again. Our guides Chris and Craig were fabulous, and even consented to take a picture with our plastic duck. I was able to climb up the waterfall which I'd been unable to do last time, so that was a great satisfaction for me. We've done 4 tours with this company... More
