The church itself is beautiful, it was built in 1549! Then go behind the church to tie your colored ribbons and make wishes. They sell the ribbons 10 or 15 for $1BR all over town. I recommend going at sunset then walking around the town (make sure you go down both forks in the road for totally different shopping experiences).... More

This is a great local to learn more about Brazil. It is part of the local where Brazil really stated. Walk around, enjoy food and local craft!

Behind the church one can have a beautiful view of the beach and lots of coconut trees. There is also a wall where people make wishes. Next to the church there are a few shops (souvernirs, summer dresses, bathing suits, typical drinks etc) and a couple ice cream parlors. I recommend one called "uai uai". The ice cream there costs... More

Enjoy the view, taste cocada from the lady nearby , nearvy there is a nice simple place where they have ice creams and pastel . the lady there is very generous.

Quiet place, when not visited by tourist buses. Great look over the beach and ocean from outside! The place breathes history.
