Description: We are celebrating our 34th year as an estate winery in 2015. Sumac Ridge...
We are celebrating our 34th year as an estate winery in 2015. Sumac Ridge was the first operating estate winery in British Columbia. We have been dedicated to producing wine from 100% BC grown grapes since our inception. We are home to three unique brands in one iconic location. Sumac Ridge Private Reserve wines have welcomed you home for over 30 years. The traditional method sparkling wines of Steller's Jay are wonderfully vivacious, perfect for any occasion. The bold wines of the Black Sage Vineyard speak to the terroir, telling the story of 20 year-old vines planted in the right place at the right time. Visit the winery for a tasting, tour or picnic. We are open for tastings year round, tours and picnics run from May to October.

I travel from Eugene to Penticton every June. This winery has great quality and decent prices. That is C$ 15-30 which is outlandish south of the border. I like there Merlot, cab-frank and cab-merlot. It is in a very scenic area. Enjoy the view and the tastes and buy a few bottles.

Wine and food pairing was fantastic. Our very friendly guide John took us down into the cave where they served sparkling wine and truffle oil popcorn, next stop the location of the original winery where we were served white wines along with prosciutto wrapped melon, scallop in mango salsa, then on to the back of the store where we were... We didn't reserve a tour ahead of time and regret it! Be sure to call ahead and reserve a spot for the 11am or 130pm tour because this is a tour you do not want to miss! The tour starts out in the "cave" downstairs in the sparkling wine cellar where you get to taste a sparkling wine paired perfectly... More

Stopped by for a wine tasting. It was 2 dollars which half went to a local food bank. What a great idea. While driving from Peachland to Summerland we stopped by a few wineries. Most were very rustic and the wine tasting rooms were closed. Great prices
