This has a great write up in the travel book I had. But did not live up to expectations. There is no restaurant and the pay booth advertises sandwiches and rolls but there were none on sale the day we went. So no lunch. The gardens could be great, but again lack of maintenance. Water features not working, Lack of... More

A lovely collection of plants, shame about some of the lack of maintenance and the large pond is a real disappointment - it should be full of water plants and could be a real haven for wildlife instead of being home to a load of concrete blocks! Overall a pleasant place and plenty of macro photo opportunities. Lamentable lack of... More

Visited in March. It is a shame as it clearly was once a lovely place to be. However, judging from all the weeds, dead and dying plants, rust, peeling signs, animal poo, litter and empty plots, it has seen better days. It is also interestingly priced for what it was. Possibly more effort may be made in summer as it... More

This place seems to enjoy hiding away, it is on very few maps, the only sign we saw was when we were 100m away and it is more of a side note in guidebooks. Some marketing investment is probably needed! :) There is a large car park, entrance to the site was €11 and there is a small shop and... More

Attraction has grown from a private garden into a spectacular estate with hilly walkways containing an extensive collection of cacti and succulents and a lakeside meander along a pampus planted pathway. Access from Ses Salines was good, car parking excellent with the attraction supported by basic onsite facilities. Will definitely return in late Spring when the flowers are out.

This place is quite spectacular and differenct if you are used to the gardens of northern Europe. The cactus are quite unearthly and other worldly. Around the lake are great drifts of Pampas (?) grass. It is not only worth visit but worth a detour. And spare some time for a visit to the nearby town of Ses Salines. But... More

We visited Botanicactus because it sounded different from the usual garden and we were not disappointed. I covers a large area and has plenty of plants to view, especially as you might guess, cacti! In the heat it is rather exposed but there are shady areas with benches and picnic areas as well. It was rather dry and the lake... More

We did enjoy a 2 hour visit - the gardens are beautiful. However, there is very little in terms of signage and description so you do not learn much about the plants. We would have liked to learn more about the cacti as well as the agricultural garden of Majorca part.

We only found this place because it was advertised on the car hire firm's free map! We did a quick bit of googling and realised that it was our sort of place, so off we went. The garden is divided into several 'zones', and crammed with all sorts of plants, although mainly cacti and succulents - it's unlike any other... More

Me and my husband found this place by accident - traveling around island of Mallorca in august 2012. We paid 8.5euros each to enter this cacti plantation and it was well worth the money. Have never been in a place like this so for the first time it was quite impressive even though the heat was hardly bearable (entered the... More
