Great slopes for skiing, high prices compared to the local average.

Came here for the slopes, as we heard they are some of the best. The beginner slope is ok for a beginner such as myself, some rough patches but nothing to be afraid of. The... read more

Came here for the slopes, as we heard they are some of the best. The beginner slope is ok for a beginner such as myself, some rough patches but nothing to be afraid of. The prices are well above those in the area and far bigger than other places in the country. It is after all a playground for the... More

Nice place to come skiing . To take a break as couples and friends. Not as cheap in the high season. Packed on the weekends.I recommend to go during the week and try to stay away from the weekends.

This place is not far from the city, takes about 30 minutes to get here with public transportation, even faster with a car. The air is very fresh here, nice views, especially from the top of the mountain ;) There are restaurants where you can eat delicious and hot meals in cold weather to warm up.

Very nice ski-resort and very cheap! Compared to other cities in Europe you'll get a great deal out of the money you spend here. We were a group of 6 friends who went there for 5 days and we had a great time. Would definitely go there again. Only minus was that at the time we were there, there was... More

We came for one day to ski in Poiana Brasov because it was in our way to Croatia. The first impression was dissapointing, everything opens at 9!! The lift, the ticket office, ski renting. Ski slopes were in very bad conditions, we skied on the grass, it was frozen, terrible. Dont waste time and money. After 1 hour we left.

In winter Poiana Brasov offers some of the best ski slopes in Romania including the longest slope in Romania - Drumul Rosu (5.600 meters). I recommend the following slopes: Bradul for begginers, Drumul Rosu and Sulinar for medium skiers and Lupului and Subteleferic for more experienced ones. Drumul Rosu is the most crowded, including with begginers and because it is... More
