Maria our wonderful guide spoke fluent English and was very knowledgable. The Chianti Classico and cold pressed olive oil were fantastic. We had some wine shipped back home and what a great way to remember our trip as we sit under a Cape Cod sun dreaming of the Tuscan countryside.

We went to visit casa sola end of may. The place offers a beautiful setting, and an immersion into the tuscan culture of winery. The visit with Maria was great: we could grasp the whole making of the wine, through a very detailled, instructive, interesting visit. Then the wine tasting with cheese and charcuterie with Maria felt like being welcome... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my tour with Matteo and wine, cheese and meat tasting with Maria. Both speak excellent English and have an encyclopaedic knowledge of their subject. Total visit was around 3 hours with a tour of the vineyards, the wine cellars and the main building conducted by Matteo and a tasting in the main house with Maria. A great... More

Even though we did not have a reservation, Matteo was kind enough to let us sample his wines and olive oil. A small charge for wine tasting. The setting is idyllic. They offer a longer, full tour if you call ahead. But we were happy to sample the wine and visit with Matteo - his English is excellent.

We've had a wonderful wine-tasting tour at Casa Sola. Maria, the tourguide, is excellent skilled in English and took all the time needed to explain us the wine-making process. We ended up staying for 2,5h tasting and touring. The vines are of excellent quality, and so is the snack they offered (good peccorino, fenocchio, Prosciutto). Really worthwhile visiting!

We visited for a wine tasting tour. During our short stay in Tuscany we visited two places for such experience and this was the most memorable one. Maria was fantastic in explaining the whole wine making process and a lot more about the Chianti history. She was very fluent in English, which made a difference. Then the best part......wine tasting.... More

Thanks to a tip on Trip advisor we had a wonderful tour of Casa Sola. We were staying in Barbarino and had rented scooters so Casa Sola was very accessible to us. The wine harvest was on so it was an interesting time to tour. The staff was very knowledgable and welcoming. Our tasting was done in fine style with... More

Maria gave us a private tour which must be booked in advance. She took the time to explan every aspect of the winemaking process; we visited the vineyards up close and personal, the wine cellar, and enjoyed a great tasting of their Chianti Classico and the cold pressed evoo they also produce. Wonderful.

We came a without a reservation and it was all booked. The owners was so kind and gave us a private tour and tasting. We bought a bottle of riserva 2008 and olive oil and said goodbye to this beautiful place. Highly recommended!
