Although it is not so pretty as Noto and Ragusa-Ibla, it is still worth visiting the home of the sicilian chocolate. You should definitely try different kind of, in any shop, but also purchase different kind of it and bring home. What I particularly liked in the chocolate is that it is without leticine and is very "real" in taste.... More

The baroque towns are a must see in Sicily and Modica is one of them. You just need a day to see this town, its small and quaint.

Like other Baroque towns in this region Modica is built around a junction of steep valleys and is composed of different sections. The oldest part of town, Modica Alta ('Upper Modica') is on a ridge in between these valleys and then Modica Bassa ('Lower Modica') the more recent but still historic section is along the valley bottoms. We found it... More

We had a walk around Modica and then enjoyed a splendid dining experience. The architecture got my camera shutter red hot as at every turn there were wonderful sights to behold.

Most active town around this area. Lively in the evenings and very friendly locals, perched up in a deep gorge this town is worth a visit.

Visiting Modica was an interesting experience, with two sheer slopes of fascinating streets to explore. The town is like a labrynth, with narrow roadsand walkways snaking for miles on either side of the valley. We trekked all over looking for several eateries that had been recommended to us, and found navigating a real challenge. The restaurants we found were actually... More

Modica is a nice, tranquil town in the South of Sicily, Italy. It boasts a very nice church and architecture. It does need some renovation, but the people we talked to love the place

If you visit Modica, do not forget to visit Via San Benedetto da Norcia. In the middle of this street is parking with view on town of Modica. The distance from the downtown is about 2 km and the view is great.

While visiting Sicily I chose to stay in Modica because of the location and it looked like a small quaint village. It didn't have the charm that I was expecting and walking around was quit a challenge as the city is built on a hillside and there are a monumental amount of steps to climb. I found the food rather... More
