Its a wondeful and Experience.More adveturous journey than the little adam's peak. Very difficult to find the correct footpath for a new comer. When you get on the the top there are beautiful views and its worth the effort.

Nice hike that can be done 3-5 hours round-trip. Bring 100r for the lemongrass tea at the top. You can do this w/o a guide, check google images for a decent map. The last section is steepish, but short.

A challenging experience to go through when you visit Ella. The peaceful and great nature village. Advice to go to Ella through Train from Nuwara Elia. You will experience the tea factory mountains all the way.

***this trek is of medium difficulty and achievable for most people ***avoid the guides on the track, they are just walking innocently along the railroad tracks. Rather than hassling you like most regions they act as friendly people showing you the way. Our 'guide' simply walked in front of us with and without and asking to took us all the... More

This must be one of the best highlights of Ella, a steep climb up winding paths and plantation forests, the trip up to the top is a adventure in its own, yet keep in mind you will require a reasonable level of fitness, its not a "easy' climb. Also the path up can be quite confusing! multiple paths up lead... More

It's a beautiful walk that can take about 45 min. up if you walk fast and up to 2-3 hours for each side if you take it slowly. The way can be quite confusing so we reccomend taking a guide (it costs around 1000 rupees). You can also walk by yourself and stop to ask people on the way if... More

I did this hike after trekking up little Adams peak for sunrise (beautiful). If you have to pick one, Ella rock gives you a better view. The walk along the railway is interesting and you get to know how the locals live. It is very easy to get lost in the tea plantations but the local farmers will point you... More

We took this beautiful walk outside of Ella and reached the top of the rock to enjoy fantastic views and peaceful green all around.
