With the name of a historical king in Sri lanka, this is a nice, cascading waterfall to visit, about 20 m in height, but your luck totally depends on the month you travel. During the rainy season, this blooms with gushes of water & heavy mist but it turns in to a mere stream of water during the dry season... More

The waterfalls are not worse to visit. You can not swim there, it was crowded and dirty. Further there are a lot of people who want to sell you different stuff. We pay 1000 rupee for a tuk-tuk from Ella and back (the driver was waiting)

I came across this falls on my way to Ella from Buduruwagala. It is quite small but has some height. The water is very refreshing and there are restaurants around it. I don't know the history behind it but it is quite famous. So a lot of people come over to sun bathe and just enjoy the water. Be careful... More

Too many people too small place, very dirty not clean AT ALL!!!! I was planning to stay there two hours but couldn't stay there more than 5 min. Don't waste your time, maybe just... More

Ravana Ella falls is near the main road so it's easy to find out (in fact we went there on the way to Galle from Ella Wellawaya). Just have to say It's a beautiful waterfall.

Our driver stopped there (as many times before) on our way from Nuwara Eliya to Yala. In spite of warning signs, locals were bathing in the small lake, and making their hygiene routines. Lots of other locals selling the junk, but were already used to them. Nice short break on the way, but I wouldn't travel just see this attraction... More

This place could be beautiful but too much disgusting stinking waste spoil the experience. The walk from Ella is not very interesting.- you walk on the road all the time. Advice: walk only one way (down the hill) and take a tuk-tuk on your way home.

A ten minute bus ride from Ella and you are at the falls with a refreshing pool at the bottom for you to take a much needed swim in. Perfect

Had read about how this was an amazing waterfall and not to be missed, but it was just a water fall. No big deal.

The falls are worth seeing and we particularly liked watching all the local kids playing in the water. Be aware of touts trying to sell rocks!!!! They can be very pushy. There are quit a lot of monkeys around as well and are a constant source of amusement.
