A popular spot, close to the road. We'd done a lot of walking up and down hills all morning, so to dip our feet in the stream was a nice way to finish. It's quite a distance from Ella (7kms down a very steep road) so best to get a tuk tuk. Lots of locals on a Sunday.

You get to see the waterfall from the main street. Nothing much else to say. While it was interesting, the wild monkeys going through the trash soon stole the show. I would consider googling the place next time, because the walk there is along a main road with tons of exhaust fumes and half a dozen stinking trash piles. Not... More

This is a spectacular waterfall. We visited at a weekend when many Sri Lankans came with their families from further afield. As a couple of Europeans we were of great interest with the locals jostling for photos with us. It was a very happy and jolly atmosphere with the ladies and children wearing beautiful colored and bejeweled clothing. At the... More

If you get some sun time in Ella -dont miss the revana falls! It was great!!! There is a small 'pool' next to the fall you can see from the road But for a little privacy you can climb a little and there are some more peacful places to deep in the water and enjoy the water falls. We loved... More

Be careful approaching the waterfall (slippery) - the best option is to follow the locals - they know the way. Don't forget your swimsuit

When we went to visit the falls it was unfortunately a little busy. The falls were full with locals enjoying them. The locals were very friendly towards us. However the female member of the group didn't want to go in the falls as she would have been the only female in them. So it would have been better of it... More

Going to Ella it was impossible not to stop and see this wonder of nature. High, not very wide, not very wild, since rain season was passed, people could swim there. Climbing up not dangerous for people like my brother. Monkeys around the area made it even more exotic. The combination of rocks and trees was amazing. Don't miss it... More

The Ravana falls are easy to access because the are next to the road. Locals come here to wash themselves or take a swim. It's fun to also take a swim there, be careful for the slippery rocks though. It's advisable to take of your shoes or flip flops when going down. They are not used to tourists actually swimming... More

My guide stopped on the road, and I saw it. Some people walked up along it, but it was raining, so I was content with the view from below.
