Nice waterfall can be appreciated from the road

We stopped here on our way from Yala to Ella. The waterfalls itself look amazing, but we couldnt spend much time there due to the very annoying and rude street sellers. Dont talk to them at all!!!! First they put a stone in your hand and tell you it is a gift, then they ask for any foreign currency for... More

Good walk down the rail track to the falls, through some interesting areas and bush. Falls quite small, and a bit difficult to get down to the road from the falls.

On a short bus ride one can visit Ravana Ella Falls. The falls breaks up into smaller falls making it a nice view. There is no swimming in these falls.

Wonderful falls immediately adjacent to the road. Well worth a stop even if only to stretch your legs.

This is a pretty high waterfall that you pass on the Yala-Ela road. It has a few touristy shops around it but is generally unspoilt. You are not allowed swim there and would not be an ideal spot for a picnic, considering your surroundings.

A beautiful fall by the side of the road. So easy access. No need to walk far. Just stopped for pics. It's more worth if u are taking a bath cause there's a gap where the water is easily accessible without worrying about slipping. Apart from that there's nothing much to offer. I kept thinking why nobody's thought about climbing... More

I came across a story that the Ravana Falls which is located along the main road is not the original Ravana Falls. The Original Ravana Falls could be seen when you walk along the railway track????? Some one please educate us?

We visited in March and there was plenty of water. It is right ON the road so most people just turn up, take a photo, and leave. But if you are a waterfall lover such as me, you can zone out the other people and just enjoy the falls. You can also walk up and find a nice quiet spot... More

It's an touristic spot, but to me is an impressive one, can skip it without regret. We passed it when we were going to the Nuwara Eliya Lake. If you want to see the falls, I highly recommend to go to see the St. Clair Falls better.
