while driving through ella, we stopped at ravana falls. its a huge fall originating close to the ravana caves. The fall is in parts a sight to watch. This is a nice waterfall on the main Road to Ella. A lot of people is there and of course a lot of vendors trying to sell magic Stones and such. It's definately worth stoppene for, but I wouldn't recommend a detour to see it, unless your a waterfall afficionado.

The falls are located along side of the highway leading south from Ella. Pretty easy to get to by Tuk Tuk fro Ella. Standing on the highway bridge you can look up the falls that are pretty tall. Next to the bridge are a few stairs leading down to a small view point and when we visited tere were monkeys... More

We took a bus from Ella especially to see the falls and got disappointed, as they were dirty and not that beautiful. We recommend only stopping there if that's on your way from/to Ella.

If you are in Ella, you must visit. It is far away from Nuwara Eliya but a scenic train journey worth a visit Ella. The fall is main attraction of town and crowded with local. Hawkers are around, eat and sip the local food with locals. Experience it!

A place which filled with green and surrounded by long mount range. This waterfall measures approximately 25 m (82 ft) in height and cascades from an oval-shaped concave rock outcrop. During the local wet season, the waterfall turns into what is said to resemble an areca flower with withering petals. But this is not the case in the dry season,... More

Read a few reviews about these waterfalls - don't swim it's filth - dirty water - not that good - blah blah blah. We caught a tuk tuk for 1000 rupees it takes about 15mins from Ella. It would be a long walk but if you're keen go for it. There were no foreigners swimming when we got there just... More
