Dimly lit, probably due to some lamps not working, Rizal boulevard is an evening stroller's must go to after a hearty dinner in one of the restaurants across the street. That's a first timer reaction. Cool, clean breeze and the leisurely walk sum up the Dumaguete mood where the people are, even if in a bit of a hurry, are... More

Our main purpose in going to Dumaguete is to relax and feel what has been touted as the gentle people of our country. The Boulevard and it's environs is what my wife and I think is the representation of the city and it's people. Since our hotel is fronting the place, we have all the time to observe the people,... I was expecting a long strip.of the boulevard but realized that the space occupied by the streetfood vendors was just enough to make it novel and a mark of the city. The baywalk was relatively clean and good to visit in the late afternoon. It is a.safe place to go. You do not feel threatened by beggars or pockpockets. There... More

The seaside esplanade in Dumaguete really is one of the high points of a visit to the city. It has massive old trees, it is tidy and well maintained, there are great people watching activities... and it is FREE. Early mornings and evenings are the best times to stroll as it can be rather hot during the day (although if... More

One of the favorite places I stay to find solitude and peace in the middle of busy suburban business projects. Love the view of the clean blue sea.

There's an I <3 Dumaguete sign here you can take a photo with. On afternoons, it's nice to take a stroll or sit on the breakwater. There are a couple of benches too. From here, Sans Rival is just across the road, as well as other dining options. In the afternoon and evenings, there is a "night market" with food... More

Our hotel in Dumaguete City (Hotel Nicanor) was just a couple of blocks away from Rizal Boulevard so it was but natural for us to walk over and take a stroll along the iconic baywalk every night we were there. For those used to seeing Manila's beautiful sunset at Roxas Boulevard, it is the exact opposite here. What you will... More

It was noon time when we got here so it was really hot and exposed to the midday sun so a quick snap of the cameras is just right for this place. The boulevard is clean and the view of the sea is great.
