The city is trying to push tourism and built a quite nice walking area right down town across from where most of the hotels, restaurants and bars are. It is hard to miss and pretty much the center of all the nightlife. At night it is very busy with people strolling and enjoying the waterfront.

This is a nice boulevard where people congregate in the afternoon. Very chill and has lots of characters. The bad thing is there is quiet a bit of people begging which can be intimidating. Nevertheless this is still a pretty nice are in dumaguete. There is a Russian girl there who sells dream catchers and she is awesome. Very inspiring... More

You wouldn't know this is a street in Asia when you walk down the promenade. Vintage looking street lights and a nice bbq street food set up at night. It's also very very clean, no rubbish to be seen anywhere.

it is nice to go for a walk, but the endless traffic makes it a noisy place. Not much to do there but stare at the Bohol Sea

Rizal Boulevard is Dumaguete City's greatest asset. It's unfortunate that there seems to be NO management or oversight of this popular attraction. Both tourists and locals patronize restaurants and bars along the boulevard day and night. The problem is dangerous traffic congestion, pollution and noise caused by industrial vehicle's, 18 wheeler's and buses, avoiding the "truck Route." Vehicles, large or... More

great place to relax, however around 5pm down to many people and the makeshift stalls for tempura vendors ruin the stretch along the area near Silliman building

I can say that this is one of the great place I have been. Very relaxing and peaceful place as surrounded by beautiful nature and friendly people. We love the, "I love Dumaguete" signage along Roxas Boulevard. Hope to get back again soon and explore more places here.

Great to walk along the ocean. Lots of restaurants and shops. You can also go there at night to get balut (should you be interested). Very close to Silliman University. Great views - picturesque.
