When in Dumaguete, marvel at the clean air, clean water, and clean surroundings, and the best spot to enjoy all three for free is Dumaguete's famed Boulevard. Start your paseo at the southern tip, and if you start at 6am, check out the sand bank across Bethel Hotel and see if there are newly-arrived fisherman who are willing to sell... More

In this boulevard, you can have a stroll while savoring the view of the sea. The boulevard also hosts other attractions ie I Love Dumaguete landmark and the iconic symbol of the Sisters of St Paul riding a boat on a mission. On the other side of the boulevard, you would see the famous cafés and restaurants. What more, Siliman... More

Rizal is a beautiful Boulevard during the day, nice to walk along, friendly people, BUT, repeat, BUT. Don't judge Dumaguete by this street. Rizal is the ONLY place we saw beggars, and annoyed me that, at 71, the only people bugging me were selling viagra. We only hit this place once at night, and the bars (which we didn't go... More

Beautiful provincial boulevard by the sea. You can just get beers and snacks and spend a whole day looking out to the water. Just perfect.

in the evening, the locals also enjoy it , fun relaxed atmosphere. There is some stalls where the artist scribes your chosen words upon key ring momentos for a cheap , unique personalised gift.

one side of the street has a nice ocean side strollway with small vendors, nice trees and great view of the ferry docks with ferries headed out to all parts of the phils. great place to try your first balut (or tempura if you are shy). The other side of the street has the world famous why not disco, the... More

It's a simple boulevard beside the shore, but it's quaint and lovely in its simplicity - quite like the city itself. When it gets late, things get a festive feel with locals and tourists alike walking around, enjoying the atmosphere and trying out the yummy street food. It could use a little revamp or cleaning up, but it ain't too... More

I visited during the day when it was fairly deserted and scruffy looking. The museum in the university grounds at the Northern end of the boulevard was worth a quick visit. Was told it comes to life at night so better to visit then.

During day time, the boulevard is quite serene. The sunrise along the boulevard is breathtaking. At night, the boulevard is bustling with activities. There are zumba dancing, couples and families strolling around, children playing, people eating along the boulevard (with chairs and table provided by the food vendors).

This stretch could have been a good place to walk but it is sooo dirty. People loiter and litter such that trash was all around. It seems there are no street sweepers all over Dumaguete city. I hope their local government does something about it. As a local tourist I am saddened by the horrible sight of rubbish flying all... More
