The comfy couches, a 3D movie experience, an intermission with fresh cookies- this place is a great place for a movie! It was just as good as my visit 10 years ago! Highly recommend!!

When researching for things to do in Wanaka for our vacation, Cinema Paradiso seemed like one of the must-dos, and it certainly did not disappoint. Watched MIB 3 with my brothers on comfortable sofas, and their homey touch is great - stopping the movie midway for a "cookie break." Wonderful!

We felt lucky to see that the cinema in Wanaka was showing the Hobbit during our stay, a most appropriate place to see it we thought. Our B & B host told us the Paradiso was a bit 'different' and different it was! Very friendly, comfortable and enjoyable.

Nothing out there like this. Should visit if visiting wanaka. Latest movies played in the retro styled theatre witha good cafe and bar

Enjoyed having a pre dinner drink and nibbles before our movie, interesting decor with all the old cinematic equipment, old cars etc. seats were comfortable, plenty of room and nice to sit and relax with a drink during the movie. Did not try the lovely cookies at halftime but they did look and smell nice. Service was efficient and friendly.... More

But in some ways better. More space and they still do the cookies for the intermission. Good spot to chill while you wait for your movie to begin.

An experience as well as a visit to the movies, different seats, local welcome including cookies baked for the interval - the whole thing adds to the entertainment for the evening, not just the movie you want to watch. We had 3 generations and we all enjoyed it - teens through to seniors. Great fun whatever the weather
