My husband and I visited NZ last March on a 25 day trip. At every town where we stayed, we went to a remote beautiful site and saw the varied glories of NZ. All the guides were good and passionate about the land. But , at Wanaka the tour with Chris was so special and personal. Right from the time... More

We did the 4 hour Mou Waho Island which consisted of a boat ride on the lake to the island, a nice moderate walk to the little lake on the island where tea was served then on to the highest point for a great view then back down to the boat, planting a tree on the way and back to... More

Hiking to a lake on an island on a lake on an island with our guide Chris Riley will be a lasting memory and significant highlight of our family’s trip through New Zealand. Our half-day lake cruise began with a prompt morning pick-up at our hotel by Chris followed by a boat ride to Mou Waho Island. The breathtaking scenery... More

My husband and I decided to do a personal guided hike to Rob Roy as we were hesitant to risk our rental car on unsealed roads and didn't want to be restricted by the bus shuttle timings. In the end we could have managed the drive . But we had no regrets with the guided hike as we learnt far... More

This was one of the highlights of a trip to New Zealand’s South Island that was packed with highlights. Following a magical 90 minute walk to the top of Mount Iron, we joined our guide Chris Riley at the marina for the start of our tour. From the moment the boat left her moorings until we tied back up 4... More

We had the unique experience of a helihike with Chris as our guide. He certainly knows his mountains. We were inspired by his enthusiasm. The views, both alpine & lake scenery were just awesome. High tea looking at Mt Aspiring is just so memorable. Fully recommended

Chris loves the mountains and the surroundings of lake Wanaka. We had the pleasure of sharing half a day with him and Lee doing the Misty Mountains Heli-hike.
