We did the one day cruise out to a small uninhabited island, where we snorkled, fished and just chilled out for a few hours. The crew were wonderful, and couldn't do enough to make this a special day. With free drinks and lovely food included in the package, coupled with spontaneous sing alongs. We had a great day out. Well... More

We were part of twenty strong group on this schooner. All you could eat and drink. Once we all had a couple under our belt everyone was chatting on board and getting to know one another. The crew were fantastic!!! But once you were on the island nothing can describe having a deserted island to yourselves in the Pacific. We... More

Went on this cruise with my wife and two teenagers. Great day started with a light breakfast after a welcome on board with a class of champaign. Easy cruise to our own island for lunch and snorkelling, volley ball. Relaxing after a huge lunch. Met Denzal Washingmachine who was a bundle of laughs. Highly recommend it

Excellent value ($199 fiji for the day) you get breakfast, a beautiful cruise in a lovely old boat through Mamanuca Islands to Schooner Island where a good lunch is served. There's snorkelling, glass bottom boat trip, volleyball with the crew, endless drinks, nice people and the trip back! I heartiily recommend the Whales Tale and her crew. Lovely men and... More

The trip out was great but I did request a special diet as I cant eat gluten or wheat and after heaps of emails back and forth been told they would cater for me I get to the island and the only food I can eat is plain rice ( rice on its own is not the best) so I... More

I travelled to Fiji with my family of 8 with 6 older adults and our parents, we were looking for a day trip to an island from denarau and came across the whales tale tour. upon meeting in the boat we were warmly greeted by the captain 'denzel washingmachine' who remembered all of our names in the first 5 minutes... July 1, 2014 For 7 out of the 8 of us, the Whales Tales Schooner outing was the highlight of our trip. There were only approximately 22 guests on board so it was a nice, relaxed day with a small group. During our 9 days in Fiji, various people in our group (ages 50s, 60s, 24, 18) went to the... More

We were recommended this by friends who went 2 weeks ago and had an enjoyable time. I guess we might've had great expectations given their recommendation plus the reviews that we've seen online. I must admit that it was slightly disappointing as we felt that there was more people on the boat than what we were told by our tour... More

Our day did not start well with rain and cold weather.Quite enjoyed sailing out to the island but once there it was too cold for most people to enjoy the facilities and even the volleyball had gone missing.Lunch was adequate and filling and the crew were friendly.Sensible service of alcohol seems to be an unknown concept and our return trip... We were happy to go with Whales Tale as it is a locally run tour however the boat was a little shaky and the chairs moved like those on the Titanic. The trip to the private island was great but beware there is not a great deal of shade with good seating when you get there. Sadly "all you can... More
