This place will make you feel comfortable and a little more like you're back at home if you're feeling a little home sick.
Good tourist shops, supermarket, "new" (since we last there) liquor store by ferry terminal, bit weird going up in elevator but very reasonable prices and better selection compared to anywhere else. Good restaurants, relaxed eating and heaps cheaper than the resorts. Recommended.
We enjoyed our trips down to Denarau port. With two under 5, we took the bula bus from our hotel (Hilton) and look around. The shops have great bargains for surf wear. There is also an indoor children's playland, great for rainy days! Has a bakery, icecream, hot chicken and chips, massage, bars, cafes, chemists and shopping. Also a little... More
It's fine and clean. Mostly, you will find tourist goods and places to eat. There are a few that are a bit less expensive, but you won't save significantly over eating at your hotel. The convenience shop is rather pricey as well, but it is kind of to-be-expected in a place where almost everything must be imported. (Though local fruits... More
Some of the tour desks took time to tell me about the most popular tours (even though they belong to other companies) and by listening to them we had a very enjoyable time each day.
The Marina showcases Polynesian dancing on a Saturday night that was terrific and free, well worth watching. The dancers were talented and engaging. There were also good bands playing at several of the restaurants. There are some nice restaurant at the Marina. We went to Indigo and the Fijian restaurant both which were worth going to. The Kebab takeaway place... More

This is the Hub for transport to the outer islands in the Manamanucas and Yasawas. Charter boats, transport options and a massive modern shopping area. Restaurants and Cafes and home of the famous Hard Rock in Fiji. Catch a beer special from Lulu's, Hard Rock or Cardos. The wealthy locals gather at the 'Church of Cardo' at the end of... More
The marina is a great place to shop and eat with heaps of restaurants to chose from and as a fussy eater than worked well for me and was much cheaper than eating in the resorts all the time.
Loved the variety of restaurants with excellent food, great service and reasonable prices. Favourites were Indigo (Indian) and Amalfi (Italian). The Hard Rock had great live music (a very talented band) but 2 of our party didn't enjoy their food at all which was disappointing as Hard Rocks around the world all have great food and we've never been disappointed...
