The Marina is a must visit with shops, restaurants and tour operators. It is the place you'll leave from for any day trips etc. Definitely worth a look.

The Yesplease convenience store was very expensive and yet the quality of fresh produce was very poor. The restaurants around the Marina were nothing to brag about. Service is the usual for Fiji but that aside I would recommend the Hard Rock for either breakfast or lunch. I would recommend there ribs! Would be great if there were an amusement... More

Worth a walk around but in short: expensive. I reckon food prices are 30% more since my last visit and one restaurant was charging $45 for a curry!

Just a place to wait for a ferry, not so well equipped to deal with rainy weather. A raincoat or umbrella would have been useful in the rainy season. If your pack is not waterproof and you are travelling in the cyclone season might be worth making sure you have a waterproof cover for it.

Denarau Island, while having several residential enclaves consisting of single-family homes for the well-to-do set, consists of many chain hotel resorts, restaurants and attractions like golf courses, etc. That being said, you naturally expect to find tourists and the inevitable "tourist traps" pretty much anywhere you go on the island. The Port Denarau Marina and Shopping Center is therefore no... More

Everything about this area is a rip off, the food is expensive and so so, the supermarket is expersive, the wood carvings (good ones) are imported from Bali, the tours are a massive rip, $70 Aust. for a pkt of Telfast or $32 for one sleeve from one of the shops there. A ''fresh young coconut" that had no meat... More

Nice place, but a little expensive. Nice shopping, good restaurants. 2 hours is about all you need to visit the Marina (I wouldn't make a special stop here, but it's a great place to get some souvenirs on your way to / from other islands).

The marina has some nice shops, restaurants and even a grocery store for a quick stop. We had dinner at a Italian restaurant, the kids had an ice cream and smoothies , a duty free shops too. Great place to spend a couple hours.

Came here several times: As a base for leaving on a Cruise - excellent facilities and easy to find the right company. Easy to catch a bus or a taxi from outside and overall very clean and tidy. For shopping - only had a few days and wanted to get a few gifts, it was OK in this respect but... More

It's pretty good, but for how many people descend on Denarau you would expect it to be even better. Some good restaurants, some alright shops. Needs to keep developing and attracting good places to go...
