The port is pretty good. It has some good shops but is expensive. but so is Fiji in general. This is where your trips will start for the outer islands.

This was our first time back to Denarau in over 10 years and what a change and huge improvement in the Port area, virtually a small shopping mall with all the usual amenities (eg bank, super market etc) plus a good selection of cafes and restaurants. Well done!

Great views, good food. Bit cheaper than the resorts. There are many different dining options from Indian, Seafood, Hard Rock Café amongst others. It is also where most of the cruises depart from so it is always busy. A good spot for a drink to watch the sunset.

The port has restaurants, westpac bank, jewellery shop, currency exchange, budget car hire, supermarket, clothes shops, tour guides, taxis, bakery, pizza shop, toilets and a few others. The port is a nice clean area to have a meal or a bit of shopping, restaurant prices are cheaper than the main resorts and the supermarket price here is more expensive than Nadi.

The restaurants around the marina provide an excellent range of cuisine and the ambiance of the marina at sunset is amazing. The marina management also arrange live entertainment, and we watched a brilliant fire eating display which the kids could not stop talking about for weeks!

There isn't much here, just a lot of cheap clothes stores. Lulu's Bar was the highlight of the marina for me. The daiquiri's are lovely.

One can only spend so many days being a sloth before retail therapy was required. $7fj taxi ride is worth it. A few different restaurants and quite a few shops to wander through. We were told it was more expensive than Nadi but we found later when we went in the bigger town that it was exactly the same prices.... More

There's no old/local Fiji here. This is a contemporary feeling shopping development that could be in Florida. However there is a nice selection of competent restaurants and typical tourist shops. And you can catch ferries to outer islands and nice day trips.
