I almost forgot to write my review on this experience, but better late than never! I went with a group of 8 to Puerto Rico and this was one of the best parts of our trip the week of July 19-26th, 2014. ** THE BOAT IS A BETTER CHOICE THAN KAYAKS ** There are so many kayaks that it is... More

I've tried to contact them several times via email as well as I left a message to make a reservation as well as I had a few questions. I finally was able to speak with someone only to be told they were booked for this week. The lady I spoke with was very rude. She wouldn't answer any of my... More

This is a must see and do in Puerto Rico. This was totally the way to go for us by Motor Boat. Even the teens with us (we had a group of 4) were glad we did not do the kayaking tour of the Bio Bay. Barney was our tour guide and he did a great job; he was very... More

Our family of 4 took the BioIsland Electric boat tour of Bioluminescent bay in Fajardo on 24 July. Mario was our tour guide and Jeff was our captain – both were terrific and contributed significantly, enhancing the experience! Only 6 guests to a boat and the small group was very enjoyable. See my tripadvisor review of electric boat vs kayak... More

This was an amazing tour, our two daughters were blown away with the lights in the ocean. It's a must do if you are coming to Puerto Rico. The crew was awesome, fun and very knowledgeable

This is a natural phenomenon and so worth your time to see it – it took us several trips to PR before we knew it existed so I now tell everyone about it. Both times I’ve seen the bio-bay have been in electric boats however, this is the first time with Bio-Island and I will absolutely use them again. Barney... More

Not only is the Bio Bay an extraordinary natural phenomenon to see, you really need to go with this Captain on this motorized experience. We had the same feeling as others - kayaks did not look at all enjoyable and the opportunity to relax, listen and learn from this outfit was *so much a better experience*. It is clear this... More

I would definitely recommend this tour. It was an amazing experience. Our tour guide Mario was the best. Had a great sense of humor making our tour fun and educational. We learned a lot about the mangroves, iguanas etc. A little tip: Book early because they are always sold out. We recommend the first tour approx. 6:30pm because you get... More

We visited Fajardo with a family group this week and wanted to do the bio bay kayak tours. However, a couple of our group are in their 80s, so we were afraid the kayaks might be too challenging. After a little research, we discovered the BioIsland Electric Boat tour. It was a perfect choice! The boat only carries about six... More

My husband and I were SO grateful that we did not try to kayak in a dark lagoon. The electric boat was a lot of fun and relaxing and we got to learn a lot from our guide. I agree with the previous posters, you must book early if you want a spot. Also, go on the first trip! I... More
