Unfortunately our trip coincided with a full moon. I had asked the company as well as other reviewers whether it was still worth going, everyone said yes. I would respectfully disagree. I agree with everyone else that the tour guides are wonderful and the whole crew is very professional. Our trip was delayed from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm, which... More

After researching the best way to see Bioluminescent Bay (actually it's a lagoon), we chose this company and we are so happy that we did. They loaded us into the pontoon boat right on schedule after offering us something to drink and a snack. Our guides were extremely professional and narrated during the whole trip. They were very knowledgeable about... More

We wanted to go to Mosquito Island but settled on this location because it was close to where we were staying and it got good reviews. What a super experience! The captain of the small boat and the two man crew were friendly and quite knowledgeable. Even Hiram, the front man, was friendly and personable. We took the last tour... More

BioIsland boat tour was most informative and professional with the Marine Biologists tour guides explaining all flora and fauna! They provided excellent service and were most knowledgeable about the habitat, explaining complex topics very easily understood by common folks. The spectacular sunset was bonus! Thank you for the referral to Jose Caolo Alvarez for transportation from San Juan! He was... More

My wife and I enjoyed this powered boat trip. Seeing everyone congested in the narrow straight to the lagoon from the other kayak companies made our decision to go with BioIsland that much more justified. Not only did you get some interesting information about how the organisms work, but you were also able to explore a larger area of the... More

I booked this tour two months ahead due to all the TA reviews saying to book early and I'm glad I did! Although my husband and I are still in our 20's, we did not feel safe kayaking in pitch black with HUNDREDS of other inexperienced kayakers. On top of that, the boat tour with BioIsland was an intimate experience... More

We had a wonderful time on this tour and were so happy that we did not kayak. We had planned on kayaking at first b/c my husband and I and our siblings are adventurous and like a challenge. However, I read some reviews about the kayaking experience and decided to take the boat instead. I would rather kayak where I... More

Bio Island gave us a remarkable tour of the mangroves and the lagoon. We had sticks to stir up the bioluminescence, which was certainly interesting. The highlight was the wildlife. Big bats flew right past the guide at the front of the boat. I am/was deathly afraid of snakes. But the beautiful iridescent green boa lounging full length on her... More

This is my first review ever, on anything, but because I relied so heavily on other reviews & because the company was so good about calling and emailing me back answering questions, etc., I'd thought I'd share our experience. We lucked up and were able to get a vacancy through a cancellation. If you want to do this, book very... More

My husband and 8 year old did this excursion and LOVED IT! They were so glad they booked the boat and not a kayak with another company. The kayaks were chaotic and longer and more difficult. They did a very nice job of preparation and giving a history of the bay. Overall, this is the way to do the biobay... More
