Misleading. Bay/dick area stinks like raw sewage. Horrible. Entire area was dirty and trashy. People in the tour were nice... But it doesn't really "glow"; you can't swim or put your feet in the bay... You just take a hokey plastic stick and swish it around to see "a little" bit of glow. Just another way for the locals to... More

My husband and I certainly appreciated the ride in the electric boat after seeing the mass exodus of inexperienced kayakers! We were able to enjoy more of the bay while receiving informative and amusing information about the bay and Puerto Rican culture. The bioluminescences was incredible using the sticks, dipping our hands in the water, and especially when we were... More

We could not have had a better experience. We booked the boat tour, since my 78 year old mom was with...much better experience than a kayak!!! Loved how we could go farther out in the bay since we were in the boat. There was only one other family with us, so we were able to ask tons of questions of... More

We loved our Bio Bay trip in the ecofriendly electric boat. We had our young son so we chose this over the kayak though honestly it was our middle aged selves that would have had difficulty in the kayak and cussed the whole way. The boat got you everywhere the kayaks could, plus you got to go further out. The... More

A visit to the Bio-Luminescent bay in Fajardo is a must do for nature & outdoor lovers on a visit to PR. It was truly an awesome experience, well beyond our expectations. You may be able to combine this with a visit to Luquillo beach in the afternoon (another must do for families) and then head to Fajardo in the... More

As we made our way past the kayaks bumping into each other straight towards the mangroves, I knew we made the right decision booking the electric boat tour. Our guide Mario was knowledgeable and funny and answered everyone's questions. The captain, Jeff, did a great job not just explaining the rules but also why they were necessary, which is what... BioIsland runs a fantastic trip with lots of interesting information from the on board naturalist. The crew are fun and funny! Definitely a highlight of our trip to PR. So glad we did not do the kayaks, too many novices struggling in the darkness. Our only issue was finding the place, it is essentially a pop up tent across from... More

We decided on Bioisland after reading all the great reviews.. The moon was full on the 745pm tour we went on but it did not matter, our captain took us straight to the back of the bay and from there with us stirring the water with poles and our hands the beautiful glow came to life...Amazing!! Our guides were thorough and... More

This is a definite must do for anyone visiting Puerto Rico for fun. The bioluminescent organisms were a true phenomenon that did not disappoint. The Captain and crew were also extremely knowledgeable and passionate about this area and all it has to offer, especially the Bio Bay. I highly recommend this company and experience.
