Unfortunately was unable to take in this attraction on our recent trip to Puerto Rico. With Zika Virus scare and uncertainty of 'glow'' due to algae we decided to cancel our trip. We contacted BioIsland and they promptly refunded our money. I always think when things don't turn out - that is when you truly know what kind of service... More

Awesome adventure to see the sparkling bioluminescence in the water. We had grandpa, grandma, mom, dad, and two granddaughters age 7 and 4. The crew was very friendly and knowledgeable and shared a very informative and fun tour through the mangroves (pointing out the sleeping iguanas in the trees) and on into the bay. Great experience! Thanks Bio Island!

The boat trip was great! The captain makes you feel super safe, the first mate (sorry we forgot your name) was really good and Mario is really knowledgable. So much better than a kayak trip. We would really recommend the trip to anyone interested in learning more about the lagoon and the whole ecosystem as well as seeing the bioluminescence

First of all nobody told us prior to going out there that you can't even see any organisms glowing! We had to put our stomachs on the bench seat where we were sitting and put our heads thru the metal bars of the boat, put a plastic tarp over our heads and reach down to the water and swish it... We were unable to complete this tour because two members of our party were not in good physical condition. The captain of the boat graciously cancelled our reservation and provided a full refund. We greatly appreciated his understanding. We will definitely rebook when we return to Puerto Rico.

The guide was very entertaining and knowledgeable. He was able to show us the iguanas lounging in the trees and show us the big fishing bats on the trip out. DEFINITELY take the boat trip over the kayaking trip. The bioluminescence was not glowing very much (it had been cooler recently) and on the boat they had a tarp that... More

We made the mistake of going Sunday evening. Parking was a real problem. The tour itself was great, even though the bioluminecense was only 20-30 percent. Not anything like the pictures on the Web site. Our guide did a fantastic job entertaining us as we traveled through the mangroves, pointing out Iquana in the trees and a Boa constrictor in... More

My husband and I did this tour while in Puerto Rico in January. Everyone should do it. So awesome. We saw iguanas, spiders, really big black and white bats. The bioluminescence was glowing white instead of blue because we were having colder than normal temps. It was so cool. Looked like thousands of sparks or fireflies. Then when you stick... More

This company should really consider offering refunds for those clients who don't get to see the bioluminescents. The tour guides told us we were very unlucky because the day we chose (December 20 I think..) was the worste day in the past 4 years for seeing the glows in the water. In fact we didn't see anything!! I have had... More

My whole family absolutely loved this tour! The guides were very knowledgeable, and could spot iguanas out in the pitch black and would shine his flash light on them so even the kids could easily spot them. When we got to the bay the guide showed us some constellations and of course the bioluminescents. I would definitely recommend this tour... More
