Our tour with Bio Island went way beyond what we’d hoped to experience. The boat (for six plus two staff) was stable and comfortable, perfect for seeing the bioluminescence up close and for hearing the expert information provided by the staff during the two+ hour ride. Bio Island rightfully prides itself on its competent and cordial staff; they couldn't have... More

We loved this experience and were very happy we chose to see the lagoon on an electric boat! Our guide Mario did a wonderful job and was very knowledgable! We took the first trip of the evening so we were able to see the mangrove in the daylight. When we saw all the kayaking bumping into each other in the... More

My husband and I went on the 8pm tour last night with our guide, Mario. We knew we made the right choice by not kayaking Bio Bay when we saw people climbing out of their kayaks soaking wet. In order to get to the bay, you have to pass through a very narrow and dark channel. We passed by so... More

We are so happy we chose to go with BioIsland for the Bay tour. With a 10 and 13 yr old, I am thrilled that we did not choose the kayak tours...being able to relax while listening to Mario and the other guides explain the biology and ecology of the mangroves and bay was a huge plus! I can't imagine... More

Having read the great reviews and knowing as seniors we wouldn't want to kayak, we tried to book this tour after getting to Puerto Rico. No luck! They are booked at least one week in advance. So, if it sounds like something you want to do, book ahead.

The BioIsland electric boat was awesome! Barney and Mario were the best tour guides. Informative and fun!

Wow. The pictures don't do it justice. Your eyes will be adjusted and it's breathtaking to see everything that moves in the water glowing like a blue glow stick. Fish chasing each other, swimming around, jumping. Just incredible. Enough about the awesome water... I HIGHLY recommend BioIsland. The trip is by a motorized boat with a very knowledgeable guy. Mario... More

Our family of three generations took the BioBay Tour with Captain Charlie and Mario on March 26th. From start to finish, we only have good things to say about the experience. Like many other reviewers, we considered kayaking into the bay, but decided it would be a challenge with so many kayaks and mangrove roots to dodge. We were impressed... More

This should be your first pick for the Biobay Lagoon- informational and a great guide- only 6 people on the boat-easy for a family and you can watch all the kayakers run into each other-which did not seem fun - make your reservations early or you will not get to enjoy such a phenomenal experience-check lunar calendar before you go... How special could a boat ride in the dark be? If it's the Bio Island excursion to Biobay Lagoon, the any is, "amazingly special." Arriving shortly before 9pm, greeted warmly by the young man who was to be our guide, we boarded the small boat and soon were moving quietly along a canal, dense tropical forests on both sides. The... More
