My husband and I got so lucky in booking the boat versus the canoe method! While the people in canoes were bumping into trees and each other in the dark, we were enjoying facts, fun stories and the magical sights around us! Our tour guides were fun and awesome! The lagoon experience is simply pure magic....especially scooping the water in... More

We had a AMAZING time on this trip! Mario was a fantastic guide!! We were very happy we booked the boat tour rather that the kayak tour after seeing so many kayak running into trouble. Was nice to be able to concentrate on the beauty of the wildlife of the area rather than worrying about mangrove roots with a kayak!!

We had an AMAZING time on this tour!! Barney, our tour guide on the boat was so great, informative and funny! My husband, 5 yr old son and I went on a Monday night. I had no idea there was so much to see, I thought it was a just a bay that we would get in a boat and... More

I booked a trip several months in advance. Booking was very easy online. We have three very small children and were debating between the earliest trip and the second one, and unfortunately chose the second one which was pushing it for bedtime. About a month out they moved the time back half an hour which was a deal breaker for... More

We did the tour at the 9:30 slot, we saw shrimp scatter glowing in the water, fish jump and a ray swimming. Mario (biology tour guide) had wonderful amounts of info on the plankton and why they glowed. The captain was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about what kind of camera can capture the glow for all you Nikon picture taking... More

First off....it glows! I am so glad I chose this way to experience this magical wonder. Bio staff was wonderful. We were greeted by Capt Charlie...had small talk until it was our time to board. Capt Oscar, Barney the guide and Mario(look out) gave us a detailed tour that my family will never forget. The ride itself was smooth and... More

We wanted to see the bioluminescent bay but weren’t thrilled about kayaking after reading many reviews. There are only 2 regulated boat tours and this one got great reviews, so we booked our reservations about 2 months in advance by calling them. We took the first tour of the evening, from 7-8:15 pm, and it was awesome! Definitely book ahead... More

Reviewed the bay already, but wanted to recommend this company and their boat tour of the bay. The captain and other crew were very knowledgeable and made this adventure a once and a lifetime experience. If you are not into the kayaking, as some in our group, the electric boat is a good alternative.

If you find yourself in Puerto Rico, Bio Bay is a must. We took the boat tour and it was amazing. We didn't have to paddle in the dark or worry about bumping into other boats. We got into the bay much quicker than guests on kayaks so we spent more time enjoying the bioluminescence experience. It was so beautiful,... More

First of all, it was difficult to decide which tour to take, kayaking or boat and then trying to decide which tour company to go with. I finally decided to go with the electric boat option (mainly because of a few folks in our group had no kayaking experience) and chose the Bioisland tour. All I have to say is...... More
