This was an amazing tour, our two daughters were blown away with the lights in the ocean. It's a must do if you are coming to Puerto Rico. The crew was awesome, fun and very knowledgeable

This is a natural phenomenon and so worth your time to see it – it took us several trips to PR before we knew it existed so I now tell everyone about it. Both times I’ve seen the bio-bay have been in electric boats however, this is the first time with Bio-Island and I will absolutely use them again. Barney... More

Not only is the Bio Bay an extraordinary natural phenomenon to see, you really need to go with this Captain on this motorized experience. We had the same feeling as others - kayaks did not look at all enjoyable and the opportunity to relax, listen and learn from this outfit was *so much a better experience*. It is clear this... More

I would definitely recommend this tour. It was an amazing experience. Our tour guide Mario was the best. Had a great sense of humor making our tour fun and educational. We learned a lot about the mangroves, iguanas etc. A little tip: Book early because they are always sold out. We recommend the first tour approx. 6:30pm because you get... More

We visited Fajardo with a family group this week and wanted to do the bio bay kayak tours. However, a couple of our group are in their 80s, so we were afraid the kayaks might be too challenging. After a little research, we discovered the BioIsland Electric Boat tour. It was a perfect choice! The boat only carries about six... More

My husband and I were SO grateful that we did not try to kayak in a dark lagoon. The electric boat was a lot of fun and relaxing and we got to learn a lot from our guide. I agree with the previous posters, you must book early if you want a spot. Also, go on the first trip! I... More

BioIsland did a great job and I definitely recommend them - Mario is a great guide! We expected that it was just the bio bay, but on the trip there and back we learned about the mangroves, iguanas, birds and much more - the trip was really informative and fun. It was a highlight for the family (two adults, and... More

# 1 - CALL EARLY. We booked about a month in advance. During our week long stay in PR, there was one boat ride that had spots available, and we only had two people. We got Voice Mail, but they called back same day and booked me over the phone. #2 - Go BOAT. There are many, many kayaks out... More

The whole family had a wonderful time cruising through the mangrove forest, and then out onto the bio-luminescent lagoon itself. The boat is not just for disabled or elderly passengers who are unable to kayak - I think it would be my preferred method no matter what. There were LOTS of different kayak companies on the bay, trying to teach... More

Bioisland did a great job and i definitely recommend them - the bay was really worth seeing! As mentioned by others, Mario is a great guide, and the trip was really informative. Like several others, I had the "kayak vs. boat" debate with myself. We tend to be fairly active, and thus i wondered if we were copping out to... More
