We did this excursion with Michael Curry, a local man with mini bus and boat, who picked us up from the hotel. It was fab - swimming in the lagoon, at night, which lit up as you moved through the water. Michael was a great host and knew lots about the area and lagoon.

The boat ride took about 45 minutes and they fed you Bahama Mama's the whole time. Once there and you jump in, its not deep. The muddy bottom caught my swim shoes and I was unable to find it again though. I wore a tshirt over my bathing suit and after boarding boat again, mu short actually continued to glow... More

From my understanding, the best days for this are bright and sunny days-unfortunately the only day we could go had been slightly overcast part of the day, so maybe that was the reason for the low luminescence. What I found to be a little annoying was how abrupt and pushy they were when getting people onto the boats-they didn't really... More

this place is a must if you're in Jamaica. it doesnt matter if you're 2 hours away or just minutes. u should go here! there's a little wait before setting out to the water because they are waiting for the place to be really dark or maybe we just went there a little bit early. once there, they will let... The brochure certainly hooked us. Unfortunately when it was our turn to jump in we didn't get much action. So after swimming in the unusual warm and cool water we got back in and then the driver dropped us in another spot which was better but nothing like the pictures we saw on the advertisement but hey can't manage nature... This was an incredible place to visit. For 25USD, a guide will take you out into the lagoon on a boat and explain the science and history behind the lights. When it is dark enough, jump in, and the water around you will light up a beautiful brilliant neon blue color. My boyfriend said he felt like a superhero with... More

There are two parts to this review: The experience and the organization The experience of Glistening Waters is magical. It is unlike anything I have done in my entire life. The water literally glows around you when you swim. It was the perfect combination of nature, art, and science. We went with a group of 12 and the experience took... More

The lagoon tour was very excellent. From the welcome rum punch to the tour was great. Our tour guide and boat captain Jerry was very friendly and knowledgeable about the lagoon and the micro- organisms. He answered all our questions and was on point. If you can swim, take your swimsuits along as you are allowed to swim in the... More

We visited the Glistening Waters Luminous Lagoon while on vacation in August 2014. It was an amazing experience where you get to see the water light up while you are in it (or others are in it). It is really something that you have to see for yourself as pictures do it no justice.

This was an amazing attraction where you go out on a boat at night time. The guys tell you about the history of the lagoon and what it's used for and then they show you that it glistens. Unbelievable sights! You can also swim in it so you become all luminous. They take the boat quite far out but it... More
