I really enjoyed watching this magic, it's a combination of fresh water, and a saltwater therefore there's a phosphorus growing called "Dinoflagelite." When you touch the water it really glows in the dark, and if you swim there's even bigger glows in the dark. It's a natural Viagra for male and natural breast enhancement for females if you swim in... More

We took the short drive from the Royalton White Sands resort to the Glistening Waters Lagoon one evening with a local tour guide. This is a pretty quick, evening excursion and is not something to be missed! The glowing water was pretty incredible. My only recommendation is to have a camera that can take good images in very low light... More

It was quite murky when we went because of the windy day. Try and go when the winds aren't that high that day.

Our group of 6 adults & 2 kids did a tour of Luminous Lagoon and it was magical. We had fun swimming & splashing to make the water glow. We went on the new moon for the full effect. Definitely worth a visit!

I was with 7 family members and really wasn't sure I would get in the water when we booked this tour. On the way out to the center of the Lagoon, watching the water light up as the boat traveled across the water, I changed my mind. There really is no way to describe it. An AMAZING experience.

We took a cab from Riu Ocho Rios. It was over an hour drive but interesting to see other little towns and was a nice drive at sunset. Once there we took a boat ride out and didn't realize we could swim but it was such a nice night to sit in the boat under the stars. We also ate... More

Last Friday I floated in the Luminous Lagoon in Jamaica. It has now landed in my TOP FIVE AMAZING EXPERIENCES. To appease curiosities the others are climbing Mount Olympus, going over the desert in a hot air balloon, hiking to Angel Falls Venezuela, and zip lining. The Luminous tour takes about an hour. You take the boat to the middle... More

We were staying in Ocho Rios and had to drive 1 hour there and another 1 hour back to get to this phenomenon. It was $25pp cash only and includes 1 alcoholic drink at their bar before boarding. They wait until the sky is dark before the first group goes out - so about 6:45pm-7:00pm in February, when we went.... More

I'm not sure what luminous lagoon tour this is for, but I will say that the lagoon itself is beautiful. Once entering the lagoon, the water illuminates a beautiful bright blue color. It's something that my mind had a hard time making a reality. Once getting out, you will continue to see these small organisms light up. As for the... More
