Our trip to the glistening waters was average, the little luminous particles were fascinating to look at for about two minutes, and that was about it. Before we went on the boat, the bar had a nice ambiance- we enjoyed sitting and listening to the music. The boat ride was nice and the tour guide was amusing, but I found... More

The night boat tour was a great experience to witness a phenomenon only available in 3 other known locations in the world. The boat captain was very knowledgeable and helped those of us in the boat who opted not to swim in the lagoon. My niece and brother took dip and really enjoyed swimming with the dinoflagellates! The lagoon lit... More

This is about an hour from Ocho and 40 minutes from Montego, so get something to eat first and head over. This is not to be missed! Only four places in the world like this, and you will be amazed. At $25 per person, it's an amazing bargain for what you'll experience. Never thought I'd see anything like this. It... More

This is a once in a lifetime experience that you don't want to miss. Upon arrival, you will be offered a drink and asked to wait until either a boat is available or there are enough people to fill a boat. The driver takes you out into the middle of the water and lets you swim in the glistening water.... More

My husband and I just went this evening. We also wondered if it was worth it but being it is the best if 5 of these wonders found in the world, we decided to go and judge for ourselves. We were very glad we did. The negative feedback we seem to hear is from the people who book tours from... More

Think of a beautiful bathwater-warm swim at night, when your every movement leaves a trail of bright aqua blue. Our guide, "Jerry" was extremely knowledgeable about the science behind the phenomenon. Friendly and concerned with everyone's safety. The only thing I wouldn't do again was buy the entire thumb drive of pictures (there's a photographer on board). We only took... More

As a biology major, I just had to see this for myself. We went early and had dinner at Glistening Waters Restaurant. After reading the reviews we were a bit disappointed by the food (the seafood was overcooked), and the cost, but the staff were amazing. The boat tour was great - make sure to get away from the crowds... More

This was a short tour but we figured we were so close to it we had o see it. There were 12 of us (teenagers and adults) and we all though this was really neat. It turned out to be a neater experience than some of us thought it was going to be. The boat ride is about 10 minutes... More

This is a cool thing to experience. The tour itself is not the main part...getting into the water and seeing your movement glow is super awesome...I would recommend you do this...water shoes help but most people don't touch the silt at the bottom.
