Very cool to see the waters light up when you swam in the water. Short tour for the price that we paid for it.

Although we had to wait longer than expected to get on the boat in the lagoon it was worth the wait. It is somewhat of a tourist trap however it is truly unique. Take the boat ride and you must swim in the lagoon! The microscopic organisms produce a glowing effect in the water. The water is warm and it... More

Left on a boat from Iberostar Rose Hall Suites, great staff, fun, informative and really cool to see. Loved swimming there. Would recommend to anyone.

We hired a driver and went and checked out what all the rave was about. Definitely didn't disappoint! I made the mistake of forgetting my swimsuit, but still had fun reaching my hand into the water and watching the water change color. If memory serves me right we paid US $20 each, so it wasn't too bad... trip on the... More

This is without exaggerating one of the most awesome and thrilling things I have ever experienced. It's not easy to describe but as the boat stops and you're jumping into the water, everything around you will glister and glow in an incredible turquoise-blue color. I've done the same thing with plankton while scuba diving but this is totally different and... More

Open a for a few hours after dark, you will board a boat that takes you out to see the bioluminescence in the lagoon. The water will glow when it is stirred, so you really need to get in and do a little swimming. The requisite attraction is on hand to get several photos of you and the glowing water... More

While staying at iberostar , 4 of our group went. cost was $65 a person. It sparkeled when the boat went thru, but you could flail away all you wanted while swimming with very little results. Took half an hour to get there and another half hour by boat to get back. Free booze on the boat and a toilet.... More

Was way over priced of what you really do. Only could be in the water for a short while and they did not have life jacket for kids. It was not as described on the brochure. I would not recommend it.

We had heard good things about the luminous lagoon and decided to check it out. It's $25 per person, cash only if tickets are purchased on site. The cost gets you a rum punch or fruit drink and a swim in the luminous lagoon. There's nothing fancy about the boat. It's purpose is just to get you out to the... More

This is something that you need to see to believe. It is one of only 3 in the world and I am told this is the brightest one. The water must be clear the night you go. You can jump in and swim if you are brave enough. The water is not very deep here. The tour rates are very... More
