This remote island in the Gulf of Chiriqui is a fun day, but you should come prepared. There is nothing here but trees, sand, and ocean. The waters are clear and if you can negotiate a good price for a boat ride it is worth the trip. We paid $15 per person. The boat ride from the mainland is about... More

Spent a day here on a trip from Boquete. Lovely for swimming or just lying on the beach, with the water lapping around you. Look for the thousands of hermit crabs, scuttling around. Fascinating little creatures!

Camped for several days on Isla Bolanos with friends, good beach, swam, snorkeled, kayaked around the island. Saw many Humpback Whale, some very close to the island. One surfaced with in a few feet of friends in a kayak! Beautiful place.

Went on a snorkeling tour to the Isla. While hanging out at the beach, a group of local guys climbed a coconut tree and brought down a dozen and shared them with us. Nothing like fresh coco on the beach.

Nice beach to swim and snorkel on. Fish to see and bring a knife to enjoy the coconuts!
