Undoubtedly the only really exciting thing to do in sleepy Laoag city is the sand dune experience on a 4 X 4. Navigating the sand dunes here can take one's breath away, if only for the adrenalin rush and roller coaster excitement. The views, especially at sunset, are magnificent. The Paoay dunes are inferior and do not offer the undulation... More

If it is adrenaline rush and adventure that you want while in Ilocos, then La Paz Sand Dunes is the best place for you. Imagine riding a rushing 4x4 going up and down steep slopes of sand! It was so much fun! Just be sure to hold the bars firmly to avoid getting thrown off the speeding vehicle. There were... More

Having the chance to explore Ilocandia last summer was totally a great experience. Aside from the attractions like the windmills, another must-visit, and must try activity is the Paoay Sand Dunes. The vast land of pure sand is just so amaazzzziingg!! I totally feel like I was in Dubai!

This is a pretty wild ride using Beach-buggies to traverse the undulating sand-dunes, but enjoyable, not a good idea to eat prior to going though. There are technical staff around in case of any mechanical probs. that arise. Wear the safety helmets!!

Was a bit weary of signing the accident waiver because I don't know the location of the nearest hospital in case something wrong happens. Fortunately everything went well and we had a great run at the back of a 4x4 at different parts of the Dunes. Going down steep slopes made my wife and children scream like they were on... More

Loved the ride on the 4x4. The ride does not seem as thrilling when on the passenger seat, though. (We alternated as we were a group of 4). Sandboarding was fun, too.

We really had a great time at the sand dunes. The 4x4 ride is thrilling and exciting though there are no helmets or any other kind of safety precaution which adds to the thrill but also makes you think twice. Sand boarding is also fun and a little bit safer for kids and the not so adventurous types. If you... More

If you are a thrill seeker, don't miss this place when you are in Ilocos Norte. You will surely enjoy the 4X4 ride around the place, just make sure you are in your safest position! Also, you can rent an ATV or try sand-boarding. However, you should wear a rubber shoes because the sand is so hot, and you do... More

It was super fun and exciting to get on the 4 x 4 jeep. Funny that I was wearing a pink shirt that time and they arranged a hello kitty inspired 4 x 4 jeep for me. The ride started slow at first to let us get acquainted with the terrain. Really got my heart pumping at the end! And... More
