The park is located just outside Riviere des Angiulles, just follow the signs along a big sugar cane field. Entrance fee during weekends is 200 Mr (4 GBP), more expensive during weekdays (350 Mr). The giant tortoises area is worth alone the visit: you can walk among tens of tortoises and feed them, it is a great experience and really... More

We loved it! You can see giant tortoises as well as huge collection of crocodiles - from egg to proper adults. In their bar we tried crocodile fritters, which was cool. Many exotic animals you will not see in England.

Was not looking forward to this visit but was really impressed with this small zoo . Mainly tortoise where there are literally hundreds, of all different sizes. Plus crocodiles too. It was well run, animals appear to be well looked after and it was well laid out. Definitely worth a visit.

La Vanille scores highly for its cleanliness, notwithstanding the presence of so many tortoises, crocodiles and other animals. Interact with the tortoises, including 95 year old Domino. You may need to forgive the tortoises the odd snooze. Crocodiles are also quite passive in their tropical home. Guided tours are included in the price and provide the opportunity to ask more... More

We spent a lazy afternoon here, a decent place (about 500 rupees entry each) and lots of animals to see, most of which have decent space and appear well cared for. Some need more space and this should be addressed. The star turns were the giant tortoises, there are loads of them and they are so cool. Didn't like the... More

wow so many giant tortoises here and you can touch them and see them from newly hatched to fully grown. The crocodiles were happy lazing in the sun keeping a beady eye on everyone. The animals all looked well kept and the grounds were clean and tidy.

Make sure to get there for the must see crocodile feeding time (11:30am). Very well set out attraction and reasonably priced.

Giant tortoises were amazing. You can hold a baby crocodile but only afterwards did we realise they tape it's mouth closed and so a big cruel in our eyes for the poor crocodile.

i came here with my 2 and 5 year old and husband, we had a lovely day. Its not that big and will take about 2 hours to go round. Getting so up close and personal with the tortoises was great, seeing so many crocs was great and feeding the monkeys was fun. There is a little gift shop which... More

Arrival It took some efforts to locate this park driving by narrow streets of Rivière Des Anguilles. Used S20 29.818, E57 33.746 as destination for navigation. Entrance Ticket for adult is 200MUR (weekend) and 350MUR (weekdays), working hours from 9:30 to 17:00. They accept major bank cards, but had communication problems, so we paid in cash. Park Most of all... More
