A real hands on experience

Great exhibits, a whole host of reptiles and animals. Favourite part was feeding and meeting the tortoises. A really amazing experience.

It was amazing place for both childrens and adults, go on weekend as they have offer on entry - almost 50% discount, the park is called crocodile, but it is full of tortoise, they have hundred of tortoises as old as 100 year, and kids will love it. you dont have to pay anything except entry..great place for couple of... We came here 15 years ago, when it seemed to be mainly a commercial crocodile farm, literally swarming with 100s of enormous crocs, very memorable. This time, it was incredibly hard to find (driving down tiny backstreets, via diversions) as the surrounding area seems more built up. The giant tortoises were fantastic - huge numbers of them, in a large... More

If you are in Mauritius for less than 7 days this place is not worth visiting and there a many reasons for that. Firstly, the crocs are kept in small cages and for their size and sometimes depending on the cage in big numbers. Their enclosures are dirty and quite sad too look at. This so called nature reserve is... More

What a wonderful park to spend a day with children. We had visited this park on 20th July 2015 and was our second time visit to Mauritus. We love this park so much, especially our two boys age 8 and 6. We got to feed tortoises by purchasing branches of leaves that tortoises love eating and costs just 25 rupees.... More

Don't like zoos.claimed to be a breeding reserve but cages very limited. Crocodiles limited space and monkeys no space for them to move. However tortoises seem to be very special with active breeding and large spaces for them to move

It was our last day in Mauritius, and we wanted some fun before our evening flight home. This crocodile park provided ample entertainment in a lovely, natural setting. It's more or less a small zoo, featuring local flora and fauna. They also have a cool collection of fossils featuring extinct animals of Mauritius. Best part in my opinion was the... More

I happened to visit this place with my boyfriend when we wanted to try some places in south of Mauritius. It turned out having fun time so much more than our first expectations. You can play with turtles and promising nice photos for your memory! Kids must love it but we as adult had fun too! As it is outdoor,... More

I absolutely loved this place, it was one of the highlights of my trip to Mauritius especially getting to walk amongst and feed and touch the mighty giant tortoises. The first colonizers, the Dutch, actually killed off the endemic ones and so these at the reserve, Aldabra tortoises, originally came from the Seychelles Islands, also in the Indian Ocean. They... Not a big fan of zoos, didn't realize this was what it would kinda be. What actually made me go was the allure of the museum containing 23,000 insects, a lot of them being from Madagascar, which has such cool ones. And I love insects. So for me, this was enough to justify the trip. Even my mom enjoyed it.... More
