We signed up for a day of canyoneering and had a great day with our gude, Calvin. He allowed us to make a lot of decisions about descending by rope or by climbing ourselves, only stopping us if we picked a stupid thing to do. ANyway, brilliant day out and Calvin was an awesome host. When in Zion - Do... more

We thought we'd take a day to relax and go tubing down the virgin river. In all fairness the guy that worked behind the desk said that it would be a bit rocky- which it was- but overall the experience was pretty enjoyable UNTIL... they forgot to pick us up at the River Park way down the road. The girl... more

We just got back from Zion, and it was a great trip!! Despite being colder, the advantage was that there were not many people. We had came to Zion Natl Park, really wanting to hike the Narrows. The first day we got there, the park ranger told us the Riverside Trail leading to the Narrows was closed due to ice.... more

If you want to go on an adventure and you don’t know where to start, stop in the Zion Adventure Company (ZAC). We wandered in on our first day in town and ended up booking two fabulous excursions. The staff is helpful and very nice. Our first excursion was canyoneering. Our guide, Nick, was awesome. (The other couple in the... more

In mid-June 2008, three of us rented 'tubes to go down the Virgin River (within Springdale). My experience has been more along the lines of row-your-own white water rafting -- Oregon's Rogue & Owyhee and Idaho's Salmon, for example. So, I asked some questions about the water, etc. Although I wasn't totally satisfied with the answers (& the young man... more

In August a buddy and I took a whirlwind trip through the 4 corners area filling it with as much activity as possible; Grand Canyon hike down to the Phantom Ranch, Bryce day long horse back ride up into the Dutton Mountains, Colorado River rafting trip out of Moab, and a day of canyoneering with Zion Adventures. After having researched... more

...you have sturdy boots that would be comfortable even when wet; and you have your own walking stick. We wanted to hike the Narrows as early in the morning (for all the cool pictures, and the views and to beat the heat on a 110 degree day) Unfortunately we decided to eat first (See review for Oscar's Cafe), so by... more

We wanted to hike The Narrows in Zion, so we began our trek in sandals. This, however, turned out to be a slow-moving and awkward task. We noticed that many of the hikers had special shoes and sticks, so we inquired as to where they got them and they informed us about the Zion Adventure Co. We stopped by and... more

If you want to see beautiful slot canyons requiring hiking and rappelling, then Zion Adventures is the place to go when you're at Zion Park. The team there is truly outstanding - nice people with serious technical skills and a high regard for safety. The canyons that they have identified are spectacular, the equipment is first-class and they will have... more

We did the Family Adventure Day on July 5, 2006. We had a great time. The first hike is bit taxing and I’ll be honest I thought at least one child might “chicken out” and I would be hiking back down the canyon, but our guide Scott was very informative and patient. He was an excellent instructor and my daughters... more
