This is a great hike to get started with. Nice meandering loop around the Wawona meadow. Great for kids, families or a romantic walk.

Nice 3.5 mile hike around Wawona Meadows that is also one of the only dog friendly trails in Yosemite. Great views of the golf course and also eco-systems in the meadow. Cool weather through the cedars and out around the meadow.

This is a nice little hike to round off a busy day at Yosemite and decompress. There's really not much to it, though it does show off reclamation and conservation efforts. It's very nice near dusk and the wildlife is plentiful. I'm sure it's just as nice close to sunup as well. It's not a "don't miss", but if you... More

But if you want to get away from everyone, this is a nice walk in the woods. It took us about 2 hours to do the loop, which starts through the golf course across from the Hotel.

Whenever we visit Yosemite we always ride our bikes around the Meadow Loop. There's lots to see and explore and is never crowded.

My husband and I took this nice walk around 5 in the evening. It was nice and flat and we even saw a family of. 5 deer. It ended at the Hwy. and the back side of The Wawona Hotel. It was beautiful and later we went to dinner. Just perfect!

Can get busy during the day, especially in mid-sumner, but is a lovely spot for a pre-breakfast or after-dinner stroll. Good for deer and birds.

We stayed at the Wawona Hotel so we simply walked across the street to hike this lovely nature trail. We took trail twice, going through the woods and the meadow. Since I love taking pictures, we walked very slowly so we could find the wildflowers. And find we did - some 30 different varieties. Such a lovely spot. Only drawback... More

This is a 3.5 mile hike that is about as easy as they come. But just because it's easy, doesn't mean it's not worth the effort. Park at Wawona early in the morning and hit the trail that borders the large meadow. Watch for critters including bears, coyotes, birds of all sorts and squirrels to name a few. We were... More

We drove, as seems most visitors do, to Wawona to see the Mariposa Grove which is certainly impressive. However, after a couple of sequoias, they all look a bit samey so we had lined up lunch at the Wawona Hotel (very good) and a hike of Wawona Meadow. We loved all the meadows in Yosemite but this hike is on... More
