Easy hike with stellar views from the top. Most in our family group could do this hike. We then walked downhill to Glacier Point. A great day! More

It's a gradual walk, only steep for the last .1 mile, and definitely worth the effort. You can do it! The view is fantastic and it's an all around better experience than just driving to Glacier Point. But you should hit Glacier Point too, since you will nearly be there. From the top of Sentinel Dome you can see all... More

Stunting views on the top of round dome. We made a combination hike with Taft Point through Pohono Trail and did not regret it. Views are better than from Glacier Point. More

You will feel as if you have climbed the face of Half Dome, but the trail is easy although it can be slippery in the rain. When you make it you will feel a sense of pride - it is a great view. asy enough for older adults and older children. More

The hike to Senitnel Dome is a medium level hike (especially difficult at the ascension up the rock at the end). It is worth it, however, as the view fromt he dome is, in my opinion, the most beautiful and affords the greatest panorama to see the major landmarks. If you are careful you can stay overnight and get an... More

sentinel dome is an easy hike, with a bit of a scramble up the actual dome at the end. The views as said are great from up top, and the half dome view is better here than the glacier point view and with less people! Be sure to also check out the remains of the famous jefferys pine tree, even... More

If you don't want to or can't hike to Half Dome, hike to Sentinel Dome instead. The hike from the parking lot is not far and relatively easy. There's no need for safety cables as there is on Half Dome. From the wide top of Sentinel Dome you have an unobstructed 360 degree view for miles and miles around. It... More
