I initially visited this property in 2013 and thought it was a magical place i just had to bring the wife. Fast forward to this year, i booked a 3 night 4 day stay at the historic hotel. Upon arrival, i was greeted under the large wooden driveway which is a sight in itself. Walked down a red carpet wooden... More

it is truly a historical landmark the hotel has her unspeakable beauty very elegant and best in its class by the way, I have been to Yosemite in both summer and winter, winter in Yosemite is really beautiful, but you need to keep your feet warm, since you are going to walk in the snow a lot, get a 4X4... This is a beautiful, charming older hotel. It is built of rocks and wood with a Grand Room, three walk-in fireplaces, a beautiful Main Dining Room with magnificent views, and a lovely Bar Area/Room. The Hotel offers Tea Time in the Mezzanine, walking historical tours and lots of wonderful Holiday events. Also, there are Classical Pianists who play beautifully both... More

The Ahwahnee hotel is incredibly beautiful! Great history, great decor, great ambiance. I absolutely LOVE the artwork on the walls and the handicrafts displayed!! Being in front of a mountain doesn't hurt any either. If you know how to use your manual settings on your camera, you will get incredibly nice photos, both inside and out. It is especially beautiful... More

We stopped here for lunch on a tour of Yosemite Valley. The foid was very good but was was the people watching and the beauty of the common rooms that really had it a joy to visit. There were many rooms with huge fireplaces that had a great host of visitors sitting around, relaxing, talking or playing games.

Even though one doesn't really come to Yosemite to indulge in life's little luxuries, The Ahwahnee Hotel is the exception to this rule. During our short time here we indulged in a decadent breakfast at the Ahwahnee Hotel and it was remarkable. The dining room is magnificent. The huge floor to ceiling windows offer glorious views of the surrounding landscape.... More

During a cold winter hike, the Ahwahnee Hotel is a magical, warm, inviting stop. We have never stayed since the rates are out of my budget however we never miss visiting, using the restroom, shopping, and eating lunch. The history lesson that the Ahwahnee Hotel tells is important to read about before leaving.

This hotel is expensive but worth the splurge. Views, atmosphere, setting were all magnificient. Even if you cannot afford it go there just to see the place.

We did not stay the night. We did walk in and tour the lobby, which was beautiful. We walked outside and the views are spectacular! Very pricy !

This 1927 hotel is well worth a visit, especially if you like rococo buildings, and it certainally is unique. Even though it is an operating hotel they are quite happy for tourists to visit and take in the view. Make sure you go out the front of a view of the unique exterior.
