As a complete novice I was quite excited to try riding a noble steed in the beauty of Yosemite Valley. The instructors were good at showing us how to control the beasts, but I was surprised at how much force is actually necessary to control the steed. Just keep pulling at the reins if the mule does not do what... More

Stopping in yosemite for only 2 days we wanted to see as much as we could. As my had a sore back, preventing long distance walking, we decided to book a horse ride. Larry at Curry village, helpfully booked the ride, and we got on the same day. The stables are a short walk from Curry village, and we were... More

I wanted to guarantee doing this, so I booked this in advance of our trip and was done over the phone, I phoned to double check the booking a week before we left home and glad I did as they had no record of my booking. Fortunately there were still places and it was then confirmed. We turned up on... More

We were happy with the price (64$ for 2 hours). The tourist information provided us with coupon booklet including 2 for one, as we donated 25$ to the park. Both our kids (ages 13 and 11) took the ride and enjoyed it! Very reasonable price, team was very nice and welcoming. Make sure you have shoes and long pants.

We weren't sure what to expect and was slightly nervous about the thought of horse riding. We booked in advance ,which I would recommend as it gets busy. The staff are very helpful ,you are shown a safety video before you go which is a little worrying, but it's all good. The two hour ride is dusty and steep in... More

We took the 2 hr early morning ride around Mirror Lake (which is a meadow now by the way-not a lake) as a party of four. We had horses and mules selected for us depending on our ability and went in a large party around the single trail. It is pretty and dusty and does feel good to be travelling... More

We took the 2 hour afternoon ride to Mirror Lake. Our guides were excellent and the whole experience was well organized. It was very enjoyable and safe. The scenery on this particular ride was OK but not spectacular. A longer ride, had we the time might have been better.

My family and I wanted to see mirror lake, and we thought it would be fun to see it on horse back. We were fortunate to get a spot without a reservation. The staff explained the safety rules and risk involved. My dad and I had some experience so we rode horses. My mom and brother have little experience so... More

Two hour ride was fun, but very dusty. No stopping for photos or sights. We can say we did it, but wouldn't recommend. Not worth the money

I am not a horseback riding person, although my wife was. I booked this trip for her, but I did end up enjoying myself. We did the 2 hour ride from Yosemite Valley to Mirror Lake. They have just now opened up the trail around the lake to pedestrians (rock slide), but not yet to draft animals, so you can... More
