Hot. Helmets mandatory. Dusty. You get there an hour ahead and our ride was 2 hours of fear and loathing on my part as well as Cartman, my mount. Mule was so stubborn and tried to scrape me off on trees or throw me off the cliffs. I ride horses without issues. Cowboy Bob was the only bright spot and... More

We had a great time riding horses/mules on the trails of Yosemite. We took the 2 hour trip and it was just the perfect amount of time. The guides were really good and we enjoyed seeing Half Dome from the base. The only suggestion I have is bring a bandana for dust if it is the dry season to cover... More

We were in Yosemite this April and didn't expect the stables to be open. Luckily for us they started the season early because of the good weather so we were able to get a ride. We took a two hour ride, and all really enjoyed it (rather to my surprise!). The mules were great and very surefooted over some difficult... More

We rode mules for a half day, 4 hour, up very steep, narrow, dusty switchbacks. It was awesome. Great views of Nevada Falls and Half Dome. We ranged from 8 years to 67 years. Wonderful experience for each of us. Helps to have some experience riding, but not a requirement.

Great guides and amazing views! They were both knowledgeable and interesting to talk to. We rode mules, and they were great!

My first time riding ever and controlling the mule was stressful. Reserve way, way ahead of time as spots fill up very fast. My mule was tired or something and didn't want to climb. I felt bad for it. Going down was better for it. Personally, I thought it was gross most of the 2 hours. I was in the... More

As a complete novice I was quite excited to try riding a noble steed in the beauty of Yosemite Valley. The instructors were good at showing us how to control the beasts, but I was surprised at how much force is actually necessary to control the steed. Just keep pulling at the reins if the mule does not do what... More

Stopping in yosemite for only 2 days we wanted to see as much as we could. As my had a sore back, preventing long distance walking, we decided to book a horse ride. Larry at Curry village, helpfully booked the ride, and we got on the same day. The stables are a short walk from Curry village, and we were... More

I wanted to guarantee doing this, so I booked this in advance of our trip and was done over the phone, I phoned to double check the booking a week before we left home and glad I did as they had no record of my booking. Fortunately there were still places and it was then confirmed. We turned up on... More

We were happy with the price (64$ for 2 hours). The tourist information provided us with coupon booklet including 2 for one, as we donated 25$ to the park. Both our kids (ages 13 and 11) took the ride and enjoyed it! Very reasonable price, team was very nice and welcoming. Make sure you have shoes and long pants.
