Ok - *hypocrite warning*:- we took our kids on this trail, but everyone else's kids spoilt it.

We were looking forward to the horse / mule ride - it was fairly expensive and needed booking in advance. It was also pretty busy. Overall - very enjoyable - but because it was... read more

Tuolumne Meadows Stable 4 hour horseback ride. We went on this after much anxiety and few mixed reviews to be found. We had a great time! No cliffhangers. Gentle ride on mule over grassy meadows, mountain streams and beautiful overlooks. Highly recommend. This is last year they will be doing this because park service shutting them down for polluting the... More

Booked the 2 hour ride and arrived an hour early as instructed. Spent half that time watching the wranglers bring enough horses out for the guests- which felt a bit useless. The guides on our ride were friendly and shared interesting stories of the beautiful area. And no cutting this ride short-- you get two long hours in the saddle!... More

Excellent trip made great by guide Scotty!! Only for experienced horseback riders because the trail is very treacherous-you are riding the John Muir trail that the hikers use, so you encounter people unfamiliar with how to act around horses/mules that do not read livestock/hiker rule signs at beginning of trail. Trail also has alot of rock/slate to maneuver over(amazing how... More

Sadly we had to cancel our trip last minute due to ilness, they were so understanding, hated to let them down but they were super reasonable! Highly recommend! Great if you are staying at Tenaya Lodge, just round the corner! From the Windsors

We were looking forward to the horse / mule ride - it was fairly expensive and needed booking in advance. It was also pretty busy. Overall - very enjoyable - but because it was summer holidays, and because its family friendly (the reason we were there indeed) there was lots of kids on the trail. The first howls of laughter... The two hour is a good ride for beginners. We had a couple of sure footed mules. My wife’s tried to take a bite of her bag, but this is part of the entertainment when dealing with mules. There were no problems that I could see, other than one going off course a little. ….. Mirror Lake was dried up,... More

My wife and I found this a really nice way to see part of the Yosemite Valley. The guides were great and knew the animals well. My wife came off her mule and still enjoyed the experience, which I think says a lot. Ours was a 2 hour ride out to mirror lake and back via a slightly different route.... More

Hot. Helmets mandatory. Dusty. You get there an hour ahead and our ride was 2 hours of fear and loathing on my part as well as Cartman, my mount. Mule was so stubborn and tried to scrape me off on trees or throw me off the cliffs. I ride horses without issues. Cowboy Bob was the only bright spot and... More

We had a great time riding horses/mules on the trails of Yosemite. We took the 2 hour trip and it was just the perfect amount of time. The guides were really good and we enjoyed seeing Half Dome from the base. The only suggestion I have is bring a bandana for dust if it is the dry season to cover... More
