The Grand Canyon is aptly named - Grand. Spectular views that change with the day light, great hiking, photo ops galore, and some challenging climbs. Most visitors come for Old Faithful and the other extraordinary geysers and hot springs, but the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, Gardner River Canyon and Boiling River are other stunning sights. Hiking, biking, boating and ranger-led... more

My family of 4 including 2 girls ages 9 & 11 stayed in a Western Cabin for 3 days in August. Cabin was nice enough and we had plenty of room and felt comfortable. You must first accept that to stay anywhere inside the park is overpriced and the cleaning is average at best. For us, the convenience of staying... more

Canyon Village in Yellowstone National Park offers city slickers a welcome respite from nature. There's a strip mall with many amenities, including gift shops, groceries, a museum/visitor's center, an espresso bar and several restaurants. My personal favorite was the Wilcoxson's ice cream - the wildberry flavor was incredible. We also enjoyed burgers and malts served at the counter at the... more

While at Canyon Village, be sure to check out the restaurants rather than the fast food places. The wait staff was great and the food excellent. The price of the food compared to comfort of the restaurant was a really good deal. Naturally, when you visit you must walk to the country store and do a little shopping. more

Canyon Village is a great hotel inside the Yellowstone National Park. It is right next to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone which is an awesome sight. If you love the outdoors and have kids this is the place to go. We stayed in Yellowstone for 5 nights and really enjoyed all the sights and wild animals that were present. more

Absolutely Incredible. Perhaps the most senic and varried National Park. Guyers, mudpots, waterfalls, mountains, vallyes, wildlife. Fresh air and much more more

Very nice campground and very nice staff. We were close to the restrooms, showers and laundry but you would not have know it. No one was loud (after the first night). The staff were awesome and even helped us find a hotel for the night when we left. more

We stayed in a frontier cabin for two nights. When we arrived and saw the cabin we though this is not good, it's a dump. But the inside is much better than the outside. It's old and very basic but everything works. No TV, Phone and WWW but you know that when you book a room in Yellowstone. The beds... more

Great location, we were in an upgraded cabin, which was very nice. Better than Grant village but more expensive. With road closures in the park this fall staying in the park is preferable even if only for a few nights. more

We checked into our Frontier cabin for 8 nights on August 25th, 2009. My husband and I had read reviews beforehand so knew what to expect. The cabin was fine for our needs-having a private shower and bath, although small, was nice. My main complaint with the cabin was that the carpet needed to be taken out and burned, the... more
