For over 20 years we have been showing our guests the absolute best way to experience the natural wonders of Yellowstone National Park by kayaking away from the crowds on Yellowstone Lake or Lewis and Shoshone Lakes. Established in 1872, Yellowstone National Park is America’s first national park, and one of the best inland paddling destinations in the world. The clear water and high mountain lakes of the greater Yellowstone area provide a truly unique kayaking experience. Yellowstone is home to a large variety of wildlife including grizzly bears, wolves, bison, and elk. Preserved within Yellowstone is the largest concentration of active geysers in the world – approximately half of the world’s total.Paddling away from the crowds you will see a side of Yellowstone few ever do. « less

We were disappointed when the hail and high wind and rain resulted in the trip being cancelled. The rescheduling, despite our having moved from Grant Village to the Old Faithful Inn, worked out very well. It was sunny, the lake was smooth and the tour was great! Thanks for accommodating us, we loved the trip. Bill and Teresa

We originally booked the sunset tour, but instead we got to experience the changing weather of yellowstone complete with sideways rain, hail, and crashing waves. The guides cancelled that trip but made the transition of rescheduling painless. Our rescheduled trip was the 9am tour and it was absolutely beautiful. Each of our family of 4 found beauty and relaxation in... More

We signed up for the Sunset Paddle on Yellowstone Lake. We signed up for this tour because we wanted experience the lake, and geysers from a different viewpoint. In addition, we wanted to see the sunset over the lake. The description of the tour is as follows: "Gaze at the beauty of a Yellowstone sunset from the seat of your... More

I did the sunset paddle and it was great. I was nervous about it because earlier in the week I had been to the Lake area of Yellowstone at the same time of day, and it was very windy, and choppy and cold. The West Thumb area of Yellowstone Lake is much calmer. The paddle itself was a little more... More

We felt that this trip was very fun and informative. Our guide taught us how to properly paddle our kayaks and helped us to understand what sights we were looking at. We would recommend this to anyone.

We headed out on the day time tour of the geysers in early June. I want to start by saying that our guide Ben did a great job! He was very knowledgable and we learned a lot about the park and the geysers. He also gave us some great tips on things to see in Jackson which led us to... More

We recently (Sept. 20, 2013) with a guide named Grant at Yellowstone Geyser Kayak Day Tours on Lake Yelowstone. The weather was very cold 28* and very sunny. The water was calm,/mirro like, beautiful and you could see the bottom in many areas.. We kayak 7.5 miles one way around the lake passing the active geysers venting and oozing. We... More

Kayaking and seeing the geothermal activities for a worldly paddler was quite interesting. We had a friendly knowledgeable guide who paced our tour with the group and yet made it a unique experience individually.

So we were going to Yellowstone, and I wanted to find a few select activities to splurge on. I came across the Geyser Kayak Tours website and found the Sunset Paddle tour listed. It was $125 a person, which is a HUGE sum for renting a kayak for 2 just hours. But the beautiful image of a purple and gold... More
