Description: Enjoy the beauty of Sea Kayaking in Yellowstone by getting off the beaten...
Enjoy the beauty of Sea Kayaking in Yellowstone by getting off the beaten path, on a single or multi-day backcountry sea kayak tour. For over 20 years we have been showing our guests the absolute best way to experience the natural wonders of Yellowstone National Park by kayaking away from the crowds on Yellowstone Lake or Lewis and Shoshone Lakes. Established in 1872, Yellowstone National Park is America’s first national park, and one of the best inland paddling destinations in the world. The clear water and high mountain lakes of the greater Yellowstone area provide a truly unique kayaking experience. Yellowstone is home to a large variety of wildlife including grizzly bears, wolves, bison, and elk. Preserved within Yellowstone is the largest concentration of active geysers in the world – approximately half of the world’s total.Paddling away from the crowds you will see a side of Yellowstone few ever do.

Our adventure almost ended before it began. My companion was skittish when we arrived at the dock in Grant. He was a big guy, a novice and already afraid he might tip the boat and fall into the water. So, seeing the sign that said "dangerous waters", posted right on the beach and warning of almost instant hypothermia in the... More

Enjoyable. Knowledgeable guide. Lunch was great, vegetarian meal was well thought out and delicious. Kayaks were newer and good. I needed an extra large kayak due to body size and they easily provided.

What a beautiful, wonderful time kayaking Yellowstone Lake!!! Alex our guide was kind, cool and very informative, taught us a lot about the area. We kayaked by spewing geysers, had a yummy vegetarian lunch and headed back. Great time!

This was a wonderful trip! My kids, 11 & 13, had single kayaks and my husband and I had a double kayak. We had a great time exploring the thermal features of Lake Yellowstone. We loved kayaking under the teapot waterfall, and feeling the hot water around the thermal areas compared to the very cold Lake Yellowstone waters. A very... More

This was a top notch operation start to finish. If you value an experience that is not associated with the big tour busses and one where the owner makes sure he is controlling the experience for each participant, this is the company for you. By keeping the group small, they ensure that everyone is having the experience they pay for... More

My group had a wonderful time on our kayak tour. We took the morning tour. Our guides were knowledgeable and helpful. The kayaks were clean and in good condition. The lunch was plentiful and hit the spot. Great views of Yellowstone Lake and surrounding mountains. Very happy with my experience. Might be a little long for some people who aren't... More

My wife and friends and I had a great tour with these folks. Small group of 10 spent morning and early afternoon enjoying great views of Yellowstone Lake geysers and shoreline. Boats were generally comfortable and easy to control. Guides were very friendly and lunch was top notch picnic fare. The trip is a bit long, so be prepared for... More

Me and my fiancé went on the sunset kayak tour and it was absolutely beautiful. We had an amazing view of the moon coming up over the mountains. It was incredible. The only thing I didn't like was that during the sunset tours, it's hard to see into the water on the bottom of the lake.

Our family took a day kayaking trip (about 6 hours) with Steve through the West Thumb of Yellowstone Lake. None of us had kayaked before, but my husband had canoed. Steve was a very reassuring instructor, and the three "newbies" did fine. Hubby and I had a double kayak, and the grown son had a single. We had a pretty... More
