For over 20 years we have been showing our guests the absolute best way to experience the natural wonders of Yellowstone National Park by kayaking away from the crowds on Yellowstone Lake or Lewis and Shoshone Lakes. Established in 1872, Yellowstone National Park is America’s first national park, and one of the best inland paddling destinations in the world. The clear water and high mountain lakes of the greater Yellowstone area provide a truly unique kayaking experience. Yellowstone is home to a large variety of wildlife including grizzly bears, wolves, bison, and elk. Preserved within Yellowstone is the largest concentration of active geysers in the world – approximately half of the world’s total.Paddling away from the crowds you will see a side of Yellowstone few ever do. « less

We were fortunate to be the only two to kayak that day, so we got very personal service from our guide, Greg. Neither of us was an experienced kayaker, but we had excellent instruction and advice before and during the tour. Greg gave us a lot information about the ecology and history of the park, which I appreciated. If you... More

We loved our Kayak excursion with our guide Greg! He knew a lot about the area, helped our boys (6 and 10) with their Kayak skills, and generally provided a delightful day for our trip. If you are reasonably fit, this is THE BEST way to see the West Thumb area, away from the masses of tourists in the boardwalk... More

We had a wonderful day on lake yellowstone kayaking, a nice diversion from all the driving and hiking in the park. Our family of four, including 2 teenaged girls thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We had a nice small group of six plus our guide for the day in double sea kayaks. Our guide, Ben, was well informed and shared so much... More

Day paddle was really fun - we had a small group four of us plus guide - grateful for this since another outfit arrived with masses of people. Our guide was knowledgeable about the area also spotted a family of otters - what a treat! Equipment was well used but still in excellent condition - comfortable two person kayak -... More

I scheduled the day trip for my husband and myself for a unique experience while we were visiting Yellowstone. This trip did not disappoint. We were lucky that we were the only 2 people scheduled for the tour that day so it was just us and the amazing guide. We saw Yellowstone from an amazing vantage point. We also got... More

We were disappointed when the hail and high wind and rain resulted in the trip being cancelled. The rescheduling, despite our having moved from Grant Village to the Old Faithful Inn, worked out very well. It was sunny, the lake was smooth and the tour was great! Thanks for accommodating us, we loved the trip. Bill and Teresa

We originally booked the sunset tour, but instead we got to experience the changing weather of yellowstone complete with sideways rain, hail, and crashing waves. The guides cancelled that trip but made the transition of rescheduling painless. Our rescheduled trip was the 9am tour and it was absolutely beautiful. Each of our family of 4 found beauty and relaxation in... More

We signed up for the Sunset Paddle on Yellowstone Lake. We signed up for this tour because we wanted experience the lake, and geysers from a different viewpoint. In addition, we wanted to see the sunset over the lake. The description of the tour is as follows: "Gaze at the beauty of a Yellowstone sunset from the seat of your... More

I did the sunset paddle and it was great. I was nervous about it because earlier in the week I had been to the Lake area of Yellowstone at the same time of day, and it was very windy, and choppy and cold. The West Thumb area of Yellowstone Lake is much calmer. The paddle itself was a little more... More
