Enjoy the beauty of Sea Kayaking in Yellowstone by getting off the beaten path, on a single or multi-day backcountry sea kayak tour. For over 20 years we have been showing our guests the absolute best way to experience the natural wonders of Yellowstone National Park by kayaking away from the crowds on Yellowstone Lake or Lewis and Shoshone Lakes. Established in 1872, Yellowstone National Park is America’s first national park, and one of the best inland paddling destinations in the world. The clear water and high mountain lakes of the greater Yellowstone area provide a truly unique kayaking experience. Yellowstone is home to a large variety of wildlife including grizzly bears, wolves, bison, and elk. Preserved within Yellowstone is the largest concentration of active geysers in the world – approximately half of the world’s total.Paddling away from the crowds you will see a side of Yellowstone few ever do.

It was really beautiful the morning we went out! The guides were informative and friendly. It feels pretty cool to experience Yellowstone away from the crowds, and to see the geothermal features from the water. The equipment was easy to use. You do not need formal experience and the guides will take care of you, but don't be a lazy... More

Steve, who is the owner of the company, was our guide, along with Jason. They were very experienced and knowledgable. Very good equipment was available for us to use. Steve was organized but also laid back, which made the trip feel that much more relaxed. In addition to the two guides there were 3 other couples and me. One couple... More

We looked forward to this kayak day trip for months and were not disappointed! I have very little kayak experience, but was completely comfortable with the equipment I was given. Our guide, Jason, kept the pace at a rate I could keep up with. He was very knowledgeable about the area and we learned a lot. Seeing the geysers from... More

My husband and I booked this for our first day of vacation in Yellowstone. It was a terrific way to set the tone of our trip. Alex, the guide, was very relaxed and quickly got us into that same mindset. It would have been nice knowing a little more of what to expect--the lake was calm, so taking a light... More

My father and I did the 4 day/3 night August kayak trip into the Southeast Arm of Yellowstone Lake with Geyser Kayak Tours. We paddled between 5 to 7 miles a day, set up camp, and for those that wanted more activity, hiked in the afternoon. The second and third nights were spent camping very near the entrance of the... Our adventure almost ended before it began. My companion was skittish when we arrived at the dock in Grant. He was a big guy, a novice and already afraid he might tip the boat and fall into the water. So, seeing the sign that said "dangerous waters", posted right on the beach and warning of almost instant hypothermia in the... More

Enjoyable. Knowledgeable guide. Lunch was great, vegetarian meal was well thought out and delicious. Kayaks were newer and good. I needed an extra large kayak due to body size and they easily provided.

This was a wonderful trip! My kids, 11 & 13, had single kayaks and my husband and I had a double kayak. We had a great time exploring the thermal features of Lake Yellowstone. We loved kayaking under the teapot waterfall, and feeling the hot water around the thermal areas compared to the very cold Lake Yellowstone waters. A very... More
