The trail gets larger every year! Don't like a certain wine, well thats ok there are so many to choose from. There is more than wine, many craft beer and distilleries too! I like Myer Farm Distillers in Ovid. It's a bit hard to taste test the vodka brands, but very good in mixers!!!

This trail is much calmer of an experience than Seneca Lake's trail. Its in between Rochester and Syracuse so it is convenient. The wineries are pretty close together, so its a good tour for that reason. There are many terrific wineries that have won national and world medals. One of them was chosen best winery in New York a couple... More

We found many amazing wines on this trail and some not so much but that is the fun of exploring the trails. We found the trail easy to get around and every winery was friendly. You can't go wrong exploring the wine trails in the Finger Lakes.

We did a November trip on a portion of the trail, picking wines and ciders for the holidays. Vinyards are close together and the ride along the lake is spectacular. Tasting rooms are empty mid-week this time of year, and we got great attention. Seneca Falls has interesting dining. Tasting a single wine is generally free. Up to 6 varies... More

We've done both Seneca and Cayuga Lake Wine Trails now. I think they are both very nice. There are some quality wines in the Finger Lakes, particularly the whites. The drive as you go from winery to winery is very nice on Route 89. Several of the wineries are very close to the water, so some great views. Some I... More

My husband and I visited the Finger Lakes for our fourth time just last week. We stayed on Cayuga Lake this time in a cabin and were in close proximity to several fantastic wineries. We found some new wineries with dry reds which are our favorite, so that was a real treat. We visited Seneca Falls at the top of... More

It has been a few years since we visited the area, and we were amazed at the large number of wineries that are available! We went mid-week so as to avoid the early leaf-peepers and crowds, which turned out to be a terrific choice! In every place we stopped, people took time to answer our questions, explain their winemaking process,... More

All of the lakes are great but this trail has a lot of smaller wineries. No buses etc. The east side of the lake is great with great views.
