We were looking to kill some time in the morning as most places don't open until 10am and Montezuma opens at 9am. We were pleasantly surprised with the selection. There's a lot to look at and a lot of wines to try. We only tried one (it was 9am!) but ended up purchasing the bottle. The woman behind the counter... More

This was our last stop on a cold and rainy Saturday that was part of the Bacon on the Lake-in wine tour promo on Cayuga Lake. Since this was more about the bacon infused dishes than the wine - I will comment on the bacon dish served here. They served a dessert pizza with bacon baked in and topped by... More

My wife and I often heard that Montezuma was a gift shop with a winery. Its a enjoyable place to go when you have family or friends in from out of town and they are used to the typical type of wine tasting, pay 1st and then get served. Very nice people every time we have gone but can get... More

This was my partners first experience visiting a winery (crazy that it took him three years to tag along with me!), and even he was so impressed! The wine is delicious. The tasting price is very reasonable. We ended up returning home with a number of bottles to enjoy later - we are saving them for a special occasion and... More

Really loved this winery. Nice gifts, friendly people and the wine was quite excellent. Will be sure to visit this again next time we are in the area.

We came here and I did my first wine tasting ever! We tried 5 wines of our choice and liked them all. We bought some special honey vodka and souvenirs as well. Nice little stop. I opted for no fee in my description but only because you don't pay to walk in, only to purchase or taste.

I did not have high expectations for this place, but I was pleased with some of their products. Did not care for some (some just way to sweet for me), but found others to be interesting, especially the Tej. Had to buy a bottle of that to take home.

Very informative winery and cute gift shop. Knowledgeable staff and very welcoming with great wines to taste. Nice addition of a souvenir wine glass. Great way to start our day.

I've always liked this winery because every time I stop in, there's something new to try. They do lean more to the sweet wine drinkers but I always find something I like. This time it was an earthy/sweet honey wine called Tej. It may be a far cry from what you would get in a traditional Ethiopian restaurant or home... More

All the people in here were very pleasant. The wine was great! A huge variety of different wines and a few meads. The also had a distillery which we did not try. Their store had a variety of items to purchase. They even had homemade fudge and cheese.
