If you are considering a first time visit to the Cincinnati Contemporary Art Center, I assume you know what type of art to expect. I've never been here and not seen at least one enthralling exhibit worthy of my attention. The building's architecture, alone, is eye candy. There's an interactive floor to engage children in arts, and at one time... More

I did not expect to see some of the wonderful exhibits! The side trip was memorable and take away images well worth the visit!

We visited free with my North American Reciprocal Program card from my local arts institute. Five floors can be explored within a few hours. Gallery workers readily share how to approach their floor's art which was great for someone like me who needed lots of guidance in understanding the artists' objectives. I found the most readily approachable floor #6, so... More

I was here for a wedding and had a fabulous night. Guests were taken up to a section of the museum for cocktail hour which had a great space for kids to run around in. Then we headed back down to the main lobby (huge space) for the dinner, toasts, cake cutting, etc. It's a really crisp, clean, modern space.... More

You can easily do the entire museum in 2-3 hours. The 6th floor is interactive and fun for all ages. My 11 year old daughter enjoyed it the museum so you can be sure that it will hold the attention of your children.

Loved this museum, free one night every week courtesy of Macy's (I think). Interactive part of gallery was a hoot for this grown up kid, young kids should love it. Located right downtown. Head around the corner to 21c Museum Hotel for more art afterwards.

Lots of active art work. Start at the top and work your way down. Check out the 21C hotel lobby around the corner that has some very strange art work well worth the visit.

The CAC is housed in an architecturally-interesting 7-story building. The art consists of a lot of weird modern art installations - upside down trees rotating in a room, a sculpture made of school desks and lots of photographs, videos and sculptures. Most pieces were accompanied by detailed descriptions explaining the art. I guess that's nice if you want to understand... More

Architecturally this building is spectacular.... cannot get the full effect of the twists and turns unless you start at the top and make your way down. They are clearly on the edge of the contemporary art scene... and the staff and curators are approachable and helpful. Can't wait to go back.

Very interesting building. Some excellent, some not so excellent installations. Worthwhile visit in downtown Cincinnati.
