No question in my mind: Lobsta Bakes of Maine is the best fish store in Cincinnati. They have a good selection of very fresh fish, shrimp, lobster, crab and mussels. They also sell prepared seafood including New England clam chowder, shrimp salad, crab cakes, cole slaw and the to-die-for Maine blueberry pie. During the summer months they will prepare lobster... This is a wonderful fish/seafood shop. The fish is always fresh, many different varieties and the service is always friendly and professional. They also have tasty already prepared dishes, i.e. smoked trout spread, cioppino, lobster pie and always delicious individual Maine blueberry pies. In the summer they have lobster picnics for the public to attend. If you are looking for... More

Not only all the amazing products they sell, they are also amazing people. My husband and i went for the first time this past Friday and the service they gave us was outstanding. Their lobster is really good, also bought a blueberry pie that was delish!. Came home with 4 crabs cakes that are gone already. Must try!

We buy fish from lobster bake only. Their scallops are the best,as is the swordfish, walleye and salmon. Take a look thru their recipe folder ( you are welcome to take some from it) the mango salsa recipe is great for the swordfish( actually any white) if you need shrimp for a get together..don't go to a big box store for... Having grown up in Virginia, it was hard getting used to the idea of being so far away from the ocean and fresh seafood. But Lobsta Bakes has solved that problem. They are a welcome addition to Newtown. The day I stopped in I was only purchasing clam chowder, but it was awesome. My husband raved about it for days.... More

These guys provide such amazingly fresh seafood that I can now deal with living in land locked Cincinnati. Their Swans Island, Maine, roots not only provide incredibly sweet lobsters, they also sell fresh fish and shellfish from both coasts, home-made smoked fish, lobster quiches, dips, and Maine blueberry pies. The guys are terrifically friendly and will include wonderful recommendations about... More

i love this place and so does my family. Lobsta Bakes always has the freshest seafood, and if you're not sure how to cook it, they'll help you with that too. Their scallops are phenomenal (broiled with butter and fresh minced garlic with lime wedges on the side) and my husband loves their swordfish. Whenever my daughter and her family... More

Moving here from the northeast, we couldn't find a decent fish/seafood retailer until we found Lobsta Bakes. The owner is from Maine, and used to be a commercial fisherman himself, so he understands what constitutes quality fish. (poor, sad Cincinnatians, raised on icky supermarket fish) I shop at Lobsta Bakes at least once a week, and there is always an... More
