Outstanding productions, intimate setting, very well done. Well rounded variety of theatre offered each season.

We don't live in Cincinnati, but we've been to at least a dozen performances, most recently Ring of Fire. We enjoyed the songs; the book was undistinguished, but luckily it was mostly singing. I can't never fault the theaters, the actors, or the quality of the productions. It's a superior organization.

We've seen many good and great shows here and a few ones that didn't grab us - we'll continue to seek out our subscription every year! Located in Eden Park (adjacent to Mt. Adams), the Playhouse is located just minutes of the center of downtown Cincinnati. There are two theatres in the house, playing both well-known and not-so-known theatre. Many... More

This theatre started life as a converted pavilion in City park. It has grown remarkably over the years, and now is one of he finest things Cincinnati has to offer. A great asset to the City.

We have seen three performances here since we moved to Newport two years ago. The theater itself is just fun to go to!~not a bad seat in the house. The ticket prices are quite high considering there have been times that the ticket price would have bought me a ticket in the theater district in Times Square. This does not... More

This musical about Johnny Cash (told through his music) was outstanding. The acting was top-notch, as was the music. The main stars even looked like Johnny Cash and June Carter. I noticed that some of the actors would play several roles, and it was sometimes confusing to the audience. For example, the actress who played the mother of Johnny Cash... More

It's theater in the half round for this Cincinnati landmark. The venue is intimate, the acoustics are good, but the seats are not cramped; there is plenty of leg room. I've seen two plays here and enjoyed both. We prefer the sets in the center sections to those on the outside. Definitely buy advanced parking as spaces are limited and... More

The playhouse in the Park is an excellent facility. There are no bad seat some better than other. We had handicap. Seating due to my husband uses a scooter. Everyone was very helpful and concern about our comfort. I would recommend this theater to anyone who enjoys live theater productions. Would go back again if and when they have another... More

The Playhouse in the Park is the perfect intimate venue for seeing live theater - there really isn't a bad seat in the house. These are professional productions with experienced actors and amazing sets. Plays are varied, providing something for everyone. You can catch dinner in Mt. Adams before the show (within walking distance) or even grab something quick at... More
