Holiday concert was amazing

We went to the holiday concert, which featured a spectacular bell choir, a wonderful vocal choir, dancers, and a vocal ensemble all as a bonus. We enjoyed it thoroughly!

We went to see the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra on the 4th of July @ Riverbend. Paid $30 a piece for seats in the 700 section. When the show started it was so hot under the Pavilion we were all sweating like crazy. Folks out on the lawn were comfortable because they had a breeze. I looked up and there are... More

last weekend, the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra offered a tribute to Steven Foster, featuring Rose Ann Cash, The Comet Bluegrass All stars, Over the Rhine, and several other entertainers. For a kentucky boy like me, it was pure heaven. As usual, the Pops Orchestra (same as the Symphony Orchestra) played to utter perfection. Standing ovations, Encores, great music done by quality... We are a frequent patron of the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra and they provide great performances to their audiences. However, we attended their "Red, White and Boom" concert on 4th of July at Riverbend and was disappointed with the lack of patriotic music played. While the guests violinists and vocalist were good,, we would have enjoyed more patriotic music and less... More

Holding forth in the gorgeous old Music Hall, John Russel Morris has maintained the high standards of quality and showmanship people in Cincinnati expect. I have never been disappointed in a show.

My Daughter took me to see the Cincinnati Pops Perform Pixar Music. It was AMAZINGLY goooood! They had Visuals of the Pixar Movies on the screen behind the Pops which made it even more enjoyable. They Sounded Great! I left there thinking, I am so glad I got to come and would of hated to miss it. If I lived... More

We've not experienced the Cincinnati Pops before, but you can bet we'll be in their audience in the future. Conductor John Morris Russell is excellent. You can see he's having fun as he directs this skilled group of musicians. A full compliment of patriotic music with Adrienne Dandrich adding with vocal punch. It is hard to image that Pops Goes... Both the CSO and the Pops are high quality orchestras with skilled musicians playing in a beautiful and classic setting. I've attended regularly for over 20 years and find it for the most part quite enjoyable. However, the new Pops conductor, John Russell is a showman and clown more concerned with his own cuteness and "brand" ( he is now... More

I gave the CSO 5/5, but I avoid this summer group like a plague. If you can attend one of their free shows, then go for it. The music choices and show choices turn me off completely.

This is a review of the POPs section of the CSO - We have dropped our season tickets as for the last two years we have continually experienced the old "bait and switch" tactic. For example we went to her Reba but she sang Elvis! Took friends to a 70's concert and when it was over they asked "where were... More
