This cathedral is on the Kentucky side of the river, in the Kentucky diocese, and far worth a visit. It is more beautiful than the cathedral in downtown Cincinnati. The outside is like a mini Notre Dame. The mosaic stations of the cross are unbelievable. Pick up the small pamphlet from the table that explains what you are looking at.

I finally scheduled by visit to the Cathedral. I had seen it on the news for special events and thought it would be something nice to visit. I took a day off work with a friend and drove across the river. The Cathedral far exceeded my expectations! It was breathtaking and inspirational. A magnificent glimpse into our past. After, we... The Cathedral Basilica is a little known treasure of the Greater Cincinnati area. Located in Covington, KY, just across the river from Cincinnati, this lovely church boasts the largest handmade church stained glass window in the world. The many other stained glass windows are also magnificent. It was supposedly modeled after the great Notre Dame of Paris, but the towers... More

A must see for anyone who visits the Cincinnati area. The architecture and construction is so beautiful that a visitor will be mesmerized at its craftsmanship. It reminds you of the old constructed churches of Europe. The wood carvings are superb and the overall ambiance is astonishing. I visited hundreds of churches in Europe and I would rate this one in... More

We started our Easter tradition with the Covington Faith Tour a few years back. I can't imagine anything better. We visit several of the cathedrals and finish with the "Garden of Hope" to see the replica of Jesus' tomb. The Basilica is my favorite of all the cathedrals we've visited.

Beautiful architecture. Friendly receptionist gives a brief, interesting history of the building. Worthwhile visit regardless of your faith.

Lovely outside and inside. Allow time to enjoy this treasure. Sit a bit and just meditate. Lovely stained glass in abundance.

I am in my 50s., I grew up in Cincinnati and lived about half my life there but somehow I did not get around to seeing this attraction until Christmas 2014. Don't wait that long. It is incredibly impressive. You will feel like you are in Europe.

We took the tour, led by a very knowledgeable docent. From the outside it really does look like a miniature Notre Dame. From the inside, you spend your time looking up....the stained glass windows, especially if the sun is coming thru, is something to behold. You could be in the 21 century....or the 17th.....

This is a great replica of the Notre Dame Cathedral. It's a landmark in Covington that is a great place to visit in Cincinnati. Catholic or not, the stained glass and gold inlays give this place an air of beauty rarely matched.
