This amazingly beautiful and awe inspiring Cathedral will capture your heart and fill you with the Spirit regardless of your denomination. It is a jewel and piece of art. Don't miss it; however, you might if Trip Advisor doesn't correct their map. It is across the river at 1101 Madison Avenue, Covington, Kentucky not where TA's map shows it off... More

Easy to get to. Easy parking in their lot. Greeted at the door and given a bit of information about the location. The stained glass is AMAZING.

This cathedral is reminiscent of churches found in Paris and other European cities. Although it's listed here under Cincinnati it's actually located just across the river in Covington, KY. The cathedral boasts some impressive stained glass windows, including a 67-foot wide one which is the world's largest. This is a nice, quiet spot to stop during a trip to Cincinnati.... More

This church or Basilica is so amazing that it is hard to imagine that the craftsmen were so talented. Everywhere you look you see something that is historically fascinating, gorgeous or poignant. Definitely worth a visit!

I think the best part of TripAdvisor is getting advice on places to go that I would not have thought to visit. The Cathedral Basilica is such a place. The large stained glass windows that fill entire walls are impressive, and the woodwork in the choir is excellent. I was lucky during my visit that a nun was on duty... More

Greater Cincinnatians are always amazed the first time they come to see the Cathedral-Basilica, with its gigantic world-class stained-glass windows, its superb carvings, and its architecture that mimes the Notre Dame in Paris. Even we Jews love to visit, either to simply marvel at the workmanship, or to listen to music there in its Sunday afternoon series. If you haven't... More

I visited the cathedral on a weekday, around noon. I love to see churches when I travel, and this one was well worth the visit. It took me by surprise, because as other reviewers said, it rivals some I have seen in Europe. I walked around and looked at stain glass and other parts for about 30 minutes. It was... More

We visited over the Christmas holiday, while the Nativity scene and decorations were still up. This Cathedral is very beautiful and has wonderful stained glass windows. It is worth a visit for about a half hour or so, or you can attend one of their masses. It appears that this Cathedral is open to the public most of the time,... More

I was amazed when I first saw it. It looked much smaller in pictures. The basilica is huge and impressive. So is the interior, it it very decorated and it is just like a cathedral in Europe. It is absolutely amazing! It is across the river from Cincinnati in Covington, KY, so it is not in Cincinnati.

Just across the Ohio river from Cincinnati, Covington, Kentucky has a secret gem. The Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption is modeled after Notre Dame in Paris. Visit in the spring/summer and tour the outside gardens as well. Take the 12th Street exit off of I-75. It's literally blocks away, located on the corner of 12th Street and Madison Avenue in... More
