Beautiful place. My daughter is buried here and it is nice to go down and see people exploring and taking pictures
Probably a little morbid for some, but this is the place to go for biking, art and history buffs. Cincinnati's historic cemetery is beautifully maintained and a wonderful place to bike or just stroll in the spring, summer and fall.
not only a very historic cemetery but an outstanding arboretum. Hard to say which season is the best here since their is so much to offer any time of the year. Good walking or running through here also since it such a large area.
I have been to Spring Grove several times to take pictures. I find something new every time I go. The things I love to see change with the change of the season. The flowers and the lakes make for great picture taking. As someone who loves the contrast of stone and shadow this makes it one of my favorite places... More
This final resting place is expansive and peaceful. I love driving through the grounds and walking to see the large monuments.Certainly a place to visit when in Cincinnati.
Spring Grove Cemetery both beautiful and historic. The grounds are impeccable and the displays of flowers, trees, lakes and wildlife lend and feeling of a formal garden. We have been there hundreds of times for both funerals and visits and on each occasion I notice something I had never noticed prior. A beautiful and relaxing experience.
it's the second oldest cemetary in the US... when my dad passed away in 1976 my mom had him buried here in the military section near gray rd, it is kept up the monuments are amazing from the past if you don't get a map you will get lost it's is huge 733 acres
The landscaping of the grounds is superb. So it's a great, quiet pace to have a mid-day break from the office and enjoy a bag lunch.
A beautiful place. My wife and I have almost finished paying off our plot and pre-arranged services. We picked out a hillside spot aa couple of years ago, and made all our arrangements, so that no one has to made those decisions. It's also a nice place to go for a quiet walk or a picnic when the weather permits.
No, this isn't something I normally do, but this cemetery is highly regarded as one of the best around. When I was there, I watched fish swimming in circles to make beds in the sand for mating. It's a park-like setting among the gravestones.
