I had high hopes, I like to go to zoos and havent been in a long time - since the kids were little. it was cool - 40 degrees, so we thought the animals would be active. We didnt know they would be inside and not available! No gorillas. ONE otter. No chimps. No manatees. Best part was the polar... more

We took in this Zoo Monday the 19th. Alot of new renovations & construction going on here. First the parking lots are new, the cost to park is VERY HIGH ! The cost to enter zoo is even HIGHER! Use a map or you will not know where to go or what to see ! All the exhibits are small.... more

The zoo and gardens are completely integrated with each other. This made for lots of fun and made the experience incredible. The grounds felt like such a fun place to explore because of this. Trees, bushes, and many different kinds of plants are spread throughout the zoo. I really enjoyed how open the zoo was (there were not too many... more

This zoo literally blew me away! I will agree it is a lot of walking, but it is worth it. I did see a tram (not the train) going around, didn't get a price, tho I don't think it was much to ride. Might think about it if I was in the back of the park at the end of... more

I don't know why people said this zoo was in a bad / ghetto area, it was fine. They had lots of cool animals that could be seen closely (great pictures). No more walking than any other zoo if you plan and follow the map. Go in the morning before it gets hot while the animals are moving around. more

I had been to the zoo many years ago and brought my family out for the first time. Be prepared to walk alot! Lots of animals and wonderful exhibits. The indoor exhibits did smell pretty bad (cat house for example) so we were in and out quickly. The food is also expensive so I recommend bringing your own, since it... more

What a great zoo! I have been to a lot of zoos and this is among one of the best. Plan to do a lot of walking in order to see everything. We got there just after opening so it wasn't too crowded yet. We spent much longer than we had planned on and we didn't do any of the... more

This is an excellent and clean zoo! There are so many animals! Our family spent 6 hours there! Take advantage of being able to bring in your own water ($2.99 a bottle there). A pizza was $18!!! Take a picnic lunch and enjoy! more

this zoo was wonderful it kept our daughter happy all day long.It took 6 hours to get through because we had lunch and watched a 4-D movie. The park is clean and staff is mostly friendly, we just came home and our little girl is telling everyone about it! We bought our tickets in advance which saved us a long... more

We were in town for a Reds game so we decided to go to the zoo. To get to the zoo you pretty much drive through the ghetto. It didn't bother us at all, but if it was dark and I broke down, I definately wouldn't feel safe. Getting there is actually rather easy. I've read that it's hard to... more
