As a little girl, I would go to Union Terminal with my mother to pick up my grandmother from the train. I was delighted when the city turned this priceless masterpiece of art deco architecture into a museum center. A great children's museum, natural history museum, and local culture museum, plus an Omnimax theater--the exhibits and opportunities for fun and... More

My review here only deals with the History Museum, since that was the extent of my travels. It started off with a really neat model of the city - an entire room in size - that also featured many working trains. Moving inward, guests learn about the history of the Queen City through several galleries tracing its early settlement to... More

The old train station building which is a masterpiece of architecture, skilled labor and artists have been saved from the wreckers ball by the sheer will of the people in Cincinnati that recognized a jewel and wanted to keep it. The museum of Natural History, the Children's Museum, an Omnimax theatre and the historical society all took pieces of the... More

We went here in the afternoon on a saturday. It wasn't overly crowded. Lots to see and do. Don't forget to go up the elevator to "Tower A".

The passenger trains may no longer run at the great art deco building, but the recreated city of Cincinnati train set is just one of many great highlights at this world class museum. There are actually three museums inside the museum, plus a large IMAX theater. The Natural History Museum is to the right as you enter, and is incredible... More

Great! Three museums and an Omnimax theater. Also, the history of one of the GREAT buildings in Cincinnati, the train depot. Everyone, young and old, should go to this at least once a year.

The museum center is one of the city's greatest assets. The building is an old train station and the building alone is worth the trip. There is a mosaic all around the top of the entering rotunda...beautiful. They have something for everyone, with their 3 museums and IMAX theater, and special displays. There is also an opportunity to visit a... More

There's a lot going on here. Take the kids and take it all in. It's so nice to see an historic building of this magnitude put to such great use! Besides the museums, the gift shop is a lot of fun. My grandkids loved putting pennies in the machine that flattens them out into a keepsake. And of course there's... More

This was a fun and interesting place to visit. We definitely didn't plan enough time to do everything there. We only were able to do the train in the hour and a half time we spent there. There was much much more to see. Should have planned better and spent about 3-4 hours there. Entrance fee was reasonable for what... More

Take the free terminal tour if you don't have much time. One hour with an interesting guide, and worth it! There is a wide assortment of museums under one roof. We did not have kids with us but the kids' area is just amazing. I felt like playing in it myself. In the very bottom is a self-guided cave tour... More
