Good links experience: More open than it looks with very challenging greens if you are on the wrong side of the pin.

10 of us came from Portland for a two day golf outing. My first time. The group has been making the trip for several years. Nice venue with picturesque views of the countryside. Fairways and Greens are good. Two disappointments which lowered my rating. There is almost no sand in the green side bunkers. (not talking about the waste areas).... More

My home course is Chambers Bay, so I'm used to links golf. This is more user friendly and fun. But the greens are absolutely dangerously fast. Do yourself a favor and spend 1/2 hours before you play getting the speed right, especially up and down hills, so you don't 3 putt the greens. Some of the pin placements were absolutely... More

what a unique course, Scottish in a way, well designed, wonderful vistas , and its really not hard at all until you approach the greens, and they are often guarded by difficult bunkers and the greens are simply a challenge to read-- they look so straight forward and easy, and then you miss by... well a ways! You wont be... More

Their after 2pm burger, beer and golf is a good deal and the food was excellent. Course has a great layout. Fast greens that are very large and undulating. Fun to play.

Played golf on Friday nigh and thoroughly enjoyed the course. The greens were fast! It would be great seeing as it was 35 degrees C if the course added the normal small cooler to the cart to keep the water and Gatorade chilling. All in all a very nice course.

For the pricey golf I would have expected things to be in better shape. The little details are not tended. Trash cans not emptied, grounds maintenance is not tended, restaurant looks very tired etc. The golf course was interesting but not sure worth the $$$.

We were visiting and decided to play golf. The owner at Cameo Heights Mansion suggested Wine Valley GC and made our advance tee time. Arrived and were immediately given the go ahead to tee off if we wanted as they had several foursomes that were scheduled to tee off in 10-15 minutes. Nice as we now had a wide open... More

Course is about 10 years old now and is beginning to establish itself. It's long and wide open. Many (many) fairway and greenside bunkers add difficulty. The greens roll as true as any I've played -- although I do find all the undulations on the green as a little 'gimickee'. Pro shop is OK -- bar is on the small... More

Not an easy course but every hole was different and interesting, despite it's farmland location. And for those who don't know Chambers Bay, that course has 1 tree.
