Overall, a great crew, safe equipment, convenient location and a phenomenal experience! We did our very first open water dives with Rainbow Scuba and were extremely pleased. We recently completed our open water referral certification with Rainbow Scuba while on our honeymoon in Waikiki in May 2015 (we did the classroom session and pool dives at home in Toronto). Our... I was recently on a school field trip to Hawaii from New Hampshire back in February and this was my first time scuba diving. The divers and safety instructors were very informational and teach signals to use underwater where voices cannot be used. One girl in our scuba group was not cautious enough and accidentally put her hand down onto... More

Octopus really really suck! I was amazed at how powerful their suckers were. We saw a cornucopia of sea life at the dive sites we visited with Ken and Jeff. Jeff dove with us that afternoon, and was a terrific nautical tour guide. As mentioned before, he found us an octopus, a couple baby reef sharks (and its presumed behemoth-of-a-mother),... More

Ken and Jeff took great care of us and really ensured we had a safe and super time. Highly recommend this shop. Looking forward to diving with them again.

If your looking for a unique experience while on Oahu, try these guys. They cover all the basics to get you under the water to enjoy sites most people will never see. There number one goal seems to be your safety. No pressure from them, just lots of fun. Thanks Ken and Jeff! Still wondering about the boat driver, just... More

My mom and I went with rainbow on and it was so fun! When we got to the harbor we got a little lost, so we called and they were happy to help. Jeff and Ken gave great instructions onboard and they made us feel totally prepared to go into the water. At first it is a little scary when... More

I brought my young son out for his first scuba experience and was worried he might not want to follow through with it once he got the gear on. Ken did a remarkable job of teaching all of us the precautions to take while in the water and how to be safe on our first dive. I really did feel... More

I am a first time SCUBA diver and I was scared about clearing my mask underwater (when you purposely fill yoyr mask with water and blow air bubbles to get the water out). Without demonstrating this task you were not allowed to go underwater. This is because if something were to go wrong it is important that you wpuld be... More

Jeff and Ken made our first dive easy and fun! We reserved online and then called ahead to ask about sea sickness. They recommended taking Dramamine the night before and again right before getting on the boat. It worked like a charm! The website told us to wear our swimsuits and bring a towel and sunscreen. I was glad we... More

What a great team Ken and Jeff are! They are very enthusiastic yet patient, and also always mindful of safety. They make sure to ease anxieties while at the same time letting you that it is common and quite okay if your nerves get the best of you and you can't dive. Even without considering prices, these two make Rainbow... More
