Owner description: Hawaii Food Tours™ was created by Hawaii's #1 Food Writer and Restaurant Reviewer, Chef Matthew Gray. It's for those who love food & fun. Voted Best Tours on Oahu for the past two years in a row! Two different daily tours; one takes place in & around Honolulu... the other goes to the North Shore. We will feed, educate and entertain you all day long! MSNBC Network called us one of the best food experiences in the world! These fantastic tours feature Yummy Food, Fascinating History, and Culinary Decadence! Our Famous Hole-in-the-Wall Tour™ includes a behind-the-scenes walking and tasting tour in Honolulu's amazingly colorful Chinatown! It's an entertaining, informative and FUN Honolulu City Tour with several stops, including 2 of Hawaii's most famous Bakeries & one of a kind Marketplaces. You'll be eating between 15 & 20 different foods! This tour takes place all over Honolulu, away from the touristy areas of Waikiki, where only the real locals go to eat. Our North Shore Food Tour™ gives guests a tasty glimpse of the colorful and rural "countryside" area of our island of Oahu. Many people read about the North Shore, about the beautiful huge waves, the garlic shrimp trucks, and rustic away-from-the-city areas, and that's what we give our guests, including some genuine Hawaiian food, a garlic shrimp plate, various pastries, Hawaiian Beer, and a visit to a coffee and sugar plantation.

Foodies, get on the bus! Do not miss this food parade, it is simply the best. Our food guides, Bill and Krystal, showered us with a delightful variety of local food, drink and history. It is a cool insight to local culture not usually seen by tourists.

If you love food and want to see some of the "off of the beaten path" establishments in Hawaii, this is the tour for you. Hawaii Food Tours has hotel pick-up and drop off, making it so easy!! They took us to some restaurants that we would have never ever gone to by ourselves. Many of the restaurants were in... More

Robin and Krystal gave us lots of interesting info on local food. They were upbeat, friendly and very willing to answer questions. And we got to eat a great variety of delicious food, from yummy pork buns to a lychee-pineapple smoothie. Actually, so many tastings that I couldn't even think about going to dinner after the tour. I highly recommend... More

We took the Hole in the Wall tour today and it is one of the highlights of our first Hawai'i vacation. We are food lovers and this was a great way to experience some of the different local flavors. It was a small group of only 9 people. Our guides Robin and Krystal were fun and knowledgeable and their energy... More

Beyond words experience. Robin and Ari were so nice and so informative they knew all the great places to eat and gave so many hints and tips about other places to eat and also included recipes. The food we had was amazing and there was so much of it we left very full and would recommend to anyone.

We had only one short day to visit Honolulu, from a cruise ship visit. Research indicated that the tour would give us, not only a fascinating insight into local food styles, but also the opportunity to meet two local people and hear a little about where they live and what they eat. Thank you Robin and Kealoha for such a... More

We took the Hole in the Wall Food Tour in Honolulu and had a wonderful time. I went on the tour last year with some friends, and my husband and I took the tour this year. He was as impressed as I was (both times) and we think next year we'll try to take the North Shore Trip. This was... More

If you only have one tour to do during your stay in Honolulu/Waikiki, this is it! We had an amazing time. Bill and Krystal were wonderful guides. They were on time for our pick up (they picked us up right where we were staying!), they were nice and friendly, they knew what they were talking about and gave us tons... More

Yes, you could definitely go to each one of the tour destinations and order and eat the featured menu items on your own. But then you would miss all the local aloha/flavor imbued by Robin and Kealoha. From the welcoming hug to the sad drop off, these two made the whole day a ton of fun. It felt as if... More

I had the best time ever. I was a little worried because I went alone and I wasn't sure that was a wise decision on my birthday. One of the best choices I have ever made. Loved the guides Robin and Kealoha. The small intimate group setting was perfect. Throw food in the mix and you can have the best... More
