Description: Hawaii Food Tours™ was created by Hawaii's #1 Food Writer and Restaurant...
Hawaii Food Tours™ was created by Hawaii's #1 Food Writer and Restaurant Reviewer, Chef Matthew Gray. It's for those who love food & fun. Voted Best Tours on Oahu for the past two years in a row! Two different daily tours; one takes place in & around Honolulu... the other goes to the North Shore. We will feed, educate and entertain you all day long! MSNBC Network called us one of the best food experiences in the world! These fantastic tours feature Yummy Food, Fascinating History, and Culinary Decadence! Our Famous Hole-in-the-Wall Tour™ includes a behind-the-scenes walking and tasting tour in Honolulu's amazingly colorful Chinatown! It's an entertaining, informative and FUN Honolulu City Tour with several stops, including 2 of Hawaii's most famous Bakeries & one of a kind Marketplaces. You'll be eating between 15 & 20 different foods! This tour takes place all over Honolulu, away from the touristy areas of Waikiki, where only the real locals go to eat. Our North Shore Food Tour™ gives guests a tasty glimpse of the colorful and rural "countryside" area of our island of Oahu. Many people read about the North Shore, about the beautiful huge waves, the garlic shrimp trucks, and rustic away-from-the-city areas, and that's what we give our guests, including some genuine Hawaiian food, a garlic shrimp plate, various pastries, Hawaiian Beer, and a visit to a coffee and sugar plantation.

Pros: great food, knowledgeable guides, entertaining, and will leave full! Cons: Getting in and out of the van at certain stops was a little inconvenient and led to a lot of waiting around, waiting for people to load and unload, waiting on the van to park, etc, but this is necessary to get to all the different food stops and... Staying in Waikiki can get a little overwhelming and a little homogenous (why, yes, I can see 3 ABC Stores from this location...). When you are ready to break out beyond the beach and chain stores, Hawaii Food tours allows you to gaze into the Honolulu less often seen by tourists and to take a delicious mouthwatering bite. Good company,... More

This tour is a must-do for anyone who loves food and is interested in Hawaiian culture and history! Our tour guides Robin and Ariana were extremely knowledgeable, personable and hospitable. We learned so much as we sampled our way through the best of local cuisine. It is a jovial, fun way to spend a day, and you will not leave... More

Our day started out with the tour guides picking us right on time! After a friendly greeting, we were on our way for a full day of fun and food. It is hard to say what stop was my favorite. Highlights for me were seeing the city and the historical information Robin gave to use throughout the tour. The food... More

My wife and I were in Honolulu for one day only and we are really glad we took this tour. It was a great way to check out the local treats and get a snapshot of the area. Thanks again guys - can't wait to have a crack at the manapua recipe.

We recently spent a week on Oahu and took part in both the Hole in the Wall Tour and the North Shore Food Tours. So glad we did both!! Money well spent. I loved trying all of the foods. Our guides Robin and Ari were both awesome hosts. They pointed out places to see and try along both tours. The... More

My husband and I took part in the Hole in the Wall food tour as part of our honeymoon this year. Robin and Aria (tour guides) took us all around China Town explaining the origins of the types of food and explaining where and how it was made. So not only were you chowing down on some amazing food but... More

I really enjoyed the variety of places we visited. My favorite was the noodle factory because the workers were handcrafting absolutely delicious rice noodles. Bring an appetite and comfortable attire.

The Hole in the Wall tour was amazing! Bring your appetite! Great tour guides, Bill and Krystal were very helpful and very knowledgeable. Supplied with bottled water for the group which was a nice surprise. Our favorite was the Kalua pig manapua and the original malasada was the bomb dot com! We've been to Waikiki twice and this was the... More
