Look past the bums

Its usually pretty crowed. Lots of homeless people squatting, but if I was homeless I would squat here too. Its nice if you can see past all that.

If you are at a Hotel in downtown Waikiki, you have to walk to the Beach Walk, which isn't really too bad, however, there is not very much room to lay out in the sun. It's too over crowded. Your best bet is to go to the North Shore, less chaos and it is more quiet.

I first started walking in this area many years ago when the walk was known as Lewers Street. It contained mainly Outrigger hotels and the majority of the holiday makers in these hotels were mainly Australians (think that was because thats where the travel agents recommended) Well now its been modernised, beautiful new shops, new hotels which have either been... This beach is so clean and family friendly. Looks like all the shots you see on TV and in the movies.

My favorite place to just walk and take in the beautiful scenery. I love being their watching the sunset. But I don't think you can have a bad time anytime their, unless it is your last day in Hawaii and you don't want to leave.

Walk along the beach at Waikiki from the Hilton to the Hale Koa and continue along past the park to the restaurants for a great view of the best beach in Waikiki. Walk through the Hilton and see the penguins and great eateries. If eligible enjoy of cold drink at the Hale Koa beach bar (military only) or continue on... More

What better way to start the day when your on holidays than a Beach Walk, early morning there are only a few people about and you can easily walk for at least an hour

Right in the heart of Waikiki. Just walk out and choices galore. Plenty to see, eat, shop or just laze around!!! Just around the corner there's the Royal Hawaiian Shopping centre. Reception was courteous and prompt. Bell service superb.

Love the idea of a walkway along the entire beach. Enjoyed it very much and used it to walk from one end of beach to the other

Lots of good food and shopping at reasonable price. Not to mention the variety of stores here! It is always a nice stroll to as all the stores and restaurants are close together. The street is not used very much, so there are not a lot of cars/traffic.
