We loved walking along looking at all the boats moored here. The people were very friendly and happy to chat about their adventures at sea! We were even invited into the Yacht Club for a drink by a member.

The public toilets are nothing to do with the marina; They have locked private ones in the marina itself. The rubbish is from the river, thrown in uptown and washed into the marina when it rains, not from boaters! True, the months I spent there, at the spot where the rubbish is thickest, there were times when the debris was... More

A lovely marina or yacht harbour - looks dazzling from our 7th floor apartment and with sunsets and colour reflections that photographers dream about. BUT get down to Marina level and what do you see? Take a look at the photos I posted with this review. Surely the Yacht Harbor includes cleaning around the boats in the mooring fee? If... More

I often stay near the ala wai harbor area and overlook the marina. I enjoy seeing boats though seldom see one going out. The most fun time to see the boats is during the holidays when several have lights on the masts. It's not what I'd call a "yacht" harbor and if you are expecting to see expensive yachts, this... I generally like yo go to marinas and dream of big boats and I would have expected waikiki marina to be fantastic but this was small and dirty and I was surprised that the boats were pretty average too - I took a couple photos and posted them

The harbor is naturally beautiful, of course. How could it not be. You have this wonderful piece of Pacific Ocean, with the deep blue colors. The recreational boats give the harbor a very picturesque feel. I took amazing photos, playing with the reflections on the water, especially at sunset. But the water closest to the sidewalk is SO VERY dirty.... More

In one of the most idyllic settings on Oahu, every visitor is let down by the smelly ugly mounds of rubbish NOT being cleared by the DLNR. It would be even worse if they needed to use the one public toilet shared with the many homeless, car dwellers and surfers. This is a place of natural beauty to which many... More

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, A tale of a fateful trip That started from this tropic port Aboard a tiny ship. The weather did not rough, The tiny ship was not tossed. even though it was not a 3 hr tour. it is well worth it- took the 1200' line. which they give you 10-15 min.

Great view from the ocean view rooms at the Ilikai - lots of small and very large craft - when I walked around it -all I could think of was the theme song to Gilligan's Island
