Great activity for a rainy day

We managed to be in Honolulu the same time as the tropical storm! With our 3 year old and 7 year old with us we still needed to get out and do things (that were indoors!). The Discovery Center was great. There were quite a number of other families that had the same idea! Our kids loved it. Heaps of... More

What a great place for the kids! I had to laugh at my 8 year old when we got there who rolled his eyes and said "oh this place is for babies"....once inside he had an absolute blast along with our 4 year old. The kids world is great - my mechanic husband made sure he also had a turn... More

My three children had a great morning visiting this centre. Well maintained, though a little old, friendly volunteers and good entry price. Yes there are more exciting places to visit in Hawaii but it was a great escape from the heat, the kids loved the exhibits, playing dress up and putting on a concert. The water play area on the... At this museum they have a town where the kids run the show. They have news station, police station, fire station, courthouse, library, theater, fishing yacht, and much more. The best exhibit in the museum had to be the Hawaiian Airlines flight simulator. The Hawaiian Airlines flight simulator had real airplane seats, food cart, flight attendant costumes, and pilot costumes.... More

This place was amazing for the price. Living in Hawaii I have done multiple island options but for a indoor break from the sun, this place is the best. Interactive exhibits allow kids to learn and play. The staff is nice and the food cafe is reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

This is a great place for little kids. Lots of different activities that will keep your children happy and occupied for hours on end. However, don't expect new toys outside of their expensive gift shop and when we rolled up to the center from the airport, we were scared to see a virtual city of homeless people just outside the... My daughter loves it and can easily spend 3 hours there. With all sorts of different sets, there is something for young kids. Some things are somewhat worn, but this is to be expected with kids play. The staff are friendly and keep the toys, etc tidy, so that the next child can play with them afresh. The price is... More

I have a two year old, energetic son who absolutely loved it here. We stayed for two hours, but I'm sure he would've loved staying much longer. There are a ton of interactive attractions for the kids to explore and I'll definitely head back there soon. My son fell asleep in the car seat before we left the parking lot!

My kids still enjoyed their visit yesterday 12/21/2013 which was 15th birthday of discovery center. We've been going since 3.5 years ago when my older one was a toddler. The only thing is the main exhibit does not change much so we can't really come and "discover" much if we visit frequently. However, since we never came for almost a... More

I bring my 2 and 3 year old boys here often. They love it! There is so much for them to do and interact with. Every time we go we seem to discover something new, even if it's just a little thing the boys love it. I recommend getting the annual membership if you plan on going often, definitely worth... More
