Magic Island is a quite nice park to stroll through at the western end of Waikiki a walking distance from Ilikai, and Hilton Village, If you come in the afternoon you get impressed with number of wedding couples taking pictures in this beautiful park There were 5 couples simultaneously being taken pictures of when I arrived. From the park you... More

A great spot for pictures but be there before dark. We walked from our hotel a few blocks away and got there just as the sun was setting and got a few pics. The homeless population in Hawaii is very prevalent around this area and even though we did not feel unsafe, it made us feel like we shouldn't have... More

I saw Magic Island from my hotel balcony and decided to walk there. It was definitely worth the walk. It was beautiful, patrolled, fairly unpopulated compared to other Waikiki beaches. The park was awesome with plenty of places to play ball or frisbee or simply relax. I didn't check out the restrooms but they were available. And one of the... More

A part of Ala Moana Beach Park, it is very popular with locals, you will stick out like a sore thumb. Really like it for my early morning runs and to watch the sunsets here and the Friday night fireworks at the Hilton across Ala Wai harbour. Also good place for swimming, fishing, snorkelling , surfing and spear fishing.

Best beach in Honolulu. So under rated. I tell everyone to go there and no one does! It's quiet, beautiful swimming, picnic tables, shade....everything!!

Magic Island was built so that a resort could be built, But they ran out of money, Now it is a nice park to relax with a good view of the ocean,

Great place to visit. You can sunbathe, Jog, ride a bike, swim or B.B.Q. we saw flying fish while swimming and every one was friendly and relaxed. A great place to unwind and take in the beauty of Oahu.

If you walk through the park, I would suggest stopping here for pics. You can see Diamond Head and Waikiki beautifully!

I stayed across the bridge in Waikiki and was on east coast time. So I was up early and walked over to the park several times. Enjoyed the beautiful views of Diamond Head, the sounds of the doves and the crash of the waves. Lots of other people out walking or jogging. Felt very safe.
