This is a lovers lookout as well as a great place to go as a tourist or with friends. There is a lovely park up top called Round Top and if you care to go from one end to the other, then you'll be entranced by lush vegetation, bamboo forests, flying peacocks and different glimpse of Honolulu's lovely sky line.... It is a great location to get a good panoramic view of Honolulu (Diamond Head to Ewa Plains). Enjoy taking a leisure drive to the Park...Pack and bring a picnic lunch or head there to observe the sunset.

Many folks don't know about this quick little jaunt up the streets of Honolulu for a truly breath taking view of Honolulu, Waikiki, Diamond Head, the airport, Pearl Harbor and the never ending Pacific ocean. A must see if you are visiting.

A great drive with beautiful views from the top of the island. It's well worth it. Especially with someone special.

We enjoyed the drive past homes to get to this park. I think another party of 2 were there at the same time. No crowds! We got some great photos.

Get away from the traffic and crowds of Waikiki and take a easy ride up Tantalus Drive. The reward at the peak is a small, quiet State Park Lookout - Puu Ualaka. All the views of Diamond Head without the hike. Bring a picnic lunch, enjoy the views of Honolulu, the fresh breeze and the twisty ride back down.

Tantalus is another reason that a visit to Oahu is incomplete unless the visitor rents a car. Waikiki is terrific, terrific...but it is the tip of Honolulu's splendor. Yes, there's a measure of courage required to drive in an unfamiliar exotic paradise. However, a person cannot "really" get lost on Oahu...it's a ISLAND ! Worst case...you drive into the ocean...good... More

This really give you a great birds-eye view of the whole city of Honolulu. In my humble opinion, it seems more spectacular @night.

We had purchased the book Oahu Reveled to find some out of the way and local attractions. We never would have found this beautiful look out point without the book, it felt like we were driving through neighborhoods and would have turned back if we did not know this vista was at the top. There were restrooms and rails and... More
