Tantalus drive is a curvy adventure with splendid and abundant greenery in sight and smell. There are hiking trails apropos of beginners. Bring a picnic basket for a panoramic sunset. Then, patiently pause for the city and the stars to brighten your evening and your heart. Oulala!

I've been up here twice, once during the daylight and once at night. Both experiences offer a beautiful view and a unique experience. The city looks so interesting and beautiful from up here, and on the opposite side it looks like you'll be easily swallowed up by lush, green foliage. We found a hike somewhere near here, and it was... More

Nice drive up to see the skyline. I wanted to go back at night but didn't get the chance. Would have been a nice nighttime cityscape picture.

What an amazing view! For a different perspective, if you have a car, please take the time to go for this drive as it is just lovely and the view look out point is amazing. A must see if you are staying in the Honolulu area. I really loved it.

The spot to go to see sunset over Waikiki and Honolulu. The drive on Tantalus is curvy but beautiful. There are Dragonfruit vines all over and the occasional bamboo forest. We were lucky enough to go when the sunset was big and the view was incredible. The parking lot nearest the point fills up quickly and is tight to get... More

I live in Honolulu and have only taken a trip up to this park twice, once in 1980 and just today. The Lookout has changed from back then but the views haven't. It is still breathtaking. I would have rated this excellent except for one thing, when you look towards the West, bushes block part of your view. Back in... More

Whether you drive your car or ride your moped, this a a ride I highly recommend if you are in Honolulu. The views are amazing and the ride to the top is beautiful. You feel as if you are far away from everything, but it's only a 10 minute drive from Honolulu. You can take the same winding road from... More

Very picturesque, panoramic view of all of Honolulu. One of the best views of Diamond head and Waikiki from high up. The road up to top is twisty and winding through beautiful rainforest. The park is quiet. We were there mid afternoon. I understand the sunset views are lovely and I imagine that Is true. I also remember that the... More

The park is quiet and simply beautiful. We took our family photos there and family and friends did not believe the photo was real. They thought we photo shop the back ground! The photo of Diamond Head Crater in the back ground and Wakiki is PRICELESS! Great memories of home!

Fantastic view of Waikiki and the most picturisque. This is the first stop after a long hike up the trail. Perfect place to rest and enjoy the view.
