Spectacular vista of the north side of the Island along with ferral pigs, cats and chickens. There was also a good view of the tunnel on the second main highway to the north & south sides of the Island. The historical plaques at the view site give some insight to the Hawaiians history.

It was beautiful and the sunset was amazing! I went with my husband and some friends and it was worth the drive.

If you are not up to the hike to the top of Diamond Head then this is a wonderful alternate lookout. It is a very winding road with a couple of beautiful viewpoints before you get there which would be even better if the State of Hawaii cared about tourists in the least and cut the weeds and better maintained... I've loved this drive since I was a kid. It offers beautiful views day or night. I wouldn't leave off doing something else to do this drive, but if you are going to hike or have some time on your hands, it is lovely.

My wife and I did the Tantalus bike tour last year and we wanted to go to the Tantalus lookout for an even better view of Diamond head and Honolulu. After some crazy twisty turning roads we made it up top. Small parking area but worth the trip . It is an amazing view that goes forever. A must see... More

This place is becoming very very popular and crowded. You will drive yourself about 15-20min on a local road to get to this area. PLEASE RESPECT THE NEIGHBORS!!!! People do live here and it looks as there is a race going on 20-15min before the sunset. They live there and do not like people zipping down their street. Now with... More

You have a fantastic view of Honolulu from Diamondhead out past the airport towards Pearl Harbor. I enjoyed watching the planes take off and land. It is worth the short drive to check it out and get a great panoramic picture of Honolulu.

Such a beautiful view of downtown Waikiki. The drive up is a fun drive with and another awesome view on the way up. A great place for a picnic or pictures. Plus there are many nearby trails to adventure.

This was a beautiful location and the pictures from the park are incredible. We went on a day that was a little overcast but on a sunny day, it would be stunning. I'm very glad we took the out of the way drive to see this view of Waikiki.

We started our car tour around the Island with a visit to this lookout. It was easy to get to and had extensive views. Worth the trip if you have a car.
