Beautiful park!! So changed since I used to bodyboard here!

This beach used to be a bare field, with a small path leading to the black rocks where we would jump in with our fins and bodyboards and Rush 'Point Panic'! Since the 80's, they... read more

This beach used to be a bare field, with a small path leading to the black rocks where we would jump in with our fins and bodyboards and Rush 'Point Panic'! Since the 80's, they have created a beautiful park and walking paths, covered areas with picnic tables for parties or a meal by the sea, and showers to rinse... More

Another great find, close to cruise ship terminal. 10-15 minute walk from there. Lots of grassy areas and a lovely walking area around the ocean. Very pretty, wedding photoshoot going on when we were there. Can see Ala Moana Park from here. Washrooms I went into were iffy, no doors on the cubicles. Lots of people living in tents but... More

I was waiting for my friend and as a tourist after 4pm (which is the time most attractions close), I instinctively looked for the sea. The closest park was the Kakaako Waterfront Park. It was so unexpected, I walked and walked and went over the little hills where everyone was lying down soaking the sun or taking wedding photos. Once... More

What a beautiful place to catch the Hawaiian sunset. We typically have family picnics here as its fairly clean and the parking is ample and close to the picnic tables. Even on the weekends we notice that the park employees are cleaning up the area. Yes at times the grass could be better keep but oh well. Grab a plate... More

Came here for the NYE party and it was fantastic. Drinks are expensive so id recommend pre-gaming. There were different stages and DJ's playing EDM music and the fireworks were killer.

Growing up in sweet Hawai'i nei, Kakaako was one of my favorite places to visit. To just sit out on the rock wall, plate lunch in hand staring out into the ocean. My last visit I noticed that the park hasn't been maintained. The grass was overgrown, weeds everywhere, trash all over the place and graffiti. What a shame. I... More

I've visited there many times with my daughter when she rode her bike, and with friends to cast a lei for her father whose ashes were scattered there. We've had picnics there. Now there is a Children's museum and the University of Hawaii Medical School is there, too. Changes have taken place, but the essence of the place remains. Memorials... More

First I have to say I am a little biased. My husband and I got married here at Kakaako, standing on the rocks with the water splashing below us. So, needless to say it was beautiful. While we were there, some construction was going on, so we just avoided the orange netting around certain areas, but I'm sure they are... More
