This Beach is Beautiful, it is very busy and is right in the heart of Waikiki across from the Mall. SO its easy to be able to walk to your hotel if close, eat and hang out at the beach all day if that is something you had planned. You also get a great view of the skyline, from the... More

This is the kind of place to go if you want to people watch there is something going on everywhere you turn we watched the school children in their outrigger canoes paddling out to sea and back then there are joggers, surfers, walkers, skaters, bikers and sunbathers a thoroughly enjoyable day.

This is where the locals go - easily accessible from downtown and a 5min walk to the posher Waikiki to the east. You can park for free at the Ala Moana center and walk across the street to a more interesting beach with softer sand.

Nice beach area, much quieter than Waikiki - not backed by hotels, bars etc if you like it quieter. I took a surf lesson here and the waves were perfect for a beginner. Water starts out deep then further out gets shallow - so not great for small kids. Lovely sunsets from here. Sadly lots of homeless people if you... More

Actually, the condo where I've resided for 20 years overlooks Ala Moana Beach Park, and the ocean, facing Westerly; as far as your eyes can see! It is a wonderful park for families to picnic, and enjoy the outdoors; without the crowded of people visiting Waikiki. It has a very nice paved bike path; which goes around the outer borders... Not a place to really go with young kids. Fire Ants and human poop on the beach and near the wonderful trees you'd like to relax under. Not as chill as some of the other beaches. Lots of tourists.

My husband and I loved the beach! It's very clean, the water is beautiful, and the beach is great--lots of room for beach-goers. I highly recommend a visit, and be sure to bring your camera!

Here's your standard public beach. Very crowded and parking can be difficult. We had just arrived and bought lunch to go took it here and enjoyed the people watching.

If you're visiting from out of town or you're staying at a hotel nearby it's nice that it is nearby but I would not choose this beach as a destination. It is crowded and not the prettiest beach and lots homeless in the area which has led to some cleanliness problems. There is a lot of parking available, though, and... More
