I have always been a rent your own gear, dive your own spot person but decided to try living ocean out. The web site is put together well, the prices are on par with other companies, but the small group limits were the real seller. Erica picked my wife and I up at our hotel along with the other diver.... More

My partner and I were looking for a couple mellow boat dives on Oahu prior to flying to the Big Island for Kona coast diving. I have had equalization problems on past dives, so the slow decent down the line really helped me practice and build my confidence. In addition to turtles and white tipped reef sharks, I caught a... It was my first time to do scuba in the US and doing scuba in Hanauma Bay was my long time dream. Nate, our coordinator was very nice to all of us and I could tell he was very well experienced diver. Although we couldn't see sea turtles and weather was a bit chilly, I really had great time and... More

Had a great dive with my two sons out to the YO-257 and the San Pedro wrecks. Current was moderate, but not bad and the visibility was fantastic! Live in Hawaii and have dove quite a bit, but was the first trip to the YO and definitely would like to go back. First trip out with Living Ocean and the... More

Upon arrival, the confusion started. We were in the spot where the boat was supposed to be, but there was no boat. So I walked all around the marina. No boat. Then I went back to where Living Ocean told me the boat should be. There was a group of scuba people that looked like they were waiting for a... More

This was my son's very first dive and he took the introductory dive with Living Ocean Scuba and went down up to almost 50 feet in depth. I was a bit worried but our dive master Nate was awesome! He was very patient, very very good instructor, he really took care of us and made sure we had a great... More

I got certified in 2005 (I am a dive instructor now) with another shop/operator and dove with them again in 2007 and have nothing but great things to say about them, but as with many operations in the tropics, staff turnover is relatively high. That shop has no one left that I knew and they recently just got a new... More

I did a wreck dive in deep water and then reef dive. Ocean was really rough on surface but Nate prepped me well. Although certified, I was given great instruction by Nate. He watched over me but not a mother hen except when he needed to be. Lol He gave me great feedback after each dive as well. His assistance... More

It was our first dive and we were assigned Nate as our guide. I have nothing but good things to say about Nate! He was chill, funny, and extremely patient with us. He made sure to only load our brains with the essentials and promised to take care of the rest so that we can have FUN on our first... More

We booked online before flying out to Hawaii and also spoke to them on the phone a couple of times. If the attitude on the phone was any indication of the operation and the people, we were in for a great time....and I was right. Their pre-dive communications were great. Nate and Erica picked us up at the hotel and... More
