It's a beautiful beach and very relaxing. They have reasonable beach amenity rentals and a nice snack bar (great shave ice too!). Do be prepared to wear reef shoes as the sand on the shore is coarse and there are rocks as you venture out into the water.

I love this beach. I have loved it for over 30 years. Its always peaceful , relaxing, and interesting. Its a beach filled with old time locals, young kids, GBLT happy people, and happy tourists. The water may not be the cleanest due to all the tourists and kids with their SPF and tanning lotions on but its still lovely... More

Pack some food to do picnic at the Kuhio Beach Park. Spend some time in the sea then take a small nap there, what a wonderful day!

This beach is a nice picturesque spot in the Waikiki strip sometimes crowded, but well worth the stop. If it starts raining it doesn't last long most of the time since this beach is on the sunny side of the island. The hula shows are great, and its a great free place to visit, with anything you want in minutes... More

You can park for 2hrs on Waikiki beach here for free! I did and the kids rented stand up paddle boards. Shady areas you can sit and watch the world go buy. Buy a rainbow shaved Ice from the stand at the end of the park.

Great place to try out your snorkel gear first before taking on other locales. Very pleasant waters in the morning & late evenings. Close by & not overly crowded by people.

Lots of coral and husband cut his foot but otherwise kids had great time boogie boarding. Enjoyed the clean sand, and would convenient to hotel location.

Kuhio Beach is one of the beaches that make up Waikiki Beach. This beach is conveniently located on Kalakaua Ave so it is easy access from the various hotels in area. We stayed the Hyatt and went a couple times to this beach. Since you are in the heart of Waikiki the beach is a little crowded. Also the beach... More
